    Review: iGear Conehead Seekers

I wonder if all those Japanese kids who they had painting cells knew that they'd be forcing OCD adults in America to spend thousands of dollars on repeat repaints?

    Review: iGear Conehead Seekers

6 is good for me. With my Decepticon Seekers complete and Megs—plus I'll soon have Devastator and I've got my Alternator Stunticons—I can't be overpowering my MP/Alternator Autobots. I just need a good MP Soundwave and some cassettes, and my Decepticons will be pretty complete. I'm thinking...

    Review: iGear Conehead Seekers

Sunstorm's one that I just can't get into. I'm a G1 addict, plus a 7th Seeker is just odd man out. He does kind of look cool though, and his name fits with the G1 "O3" naming for the seekers... One thing I did't even bother on was taking pics of the jets. What a worthless Transformers review...

    Review: iGear Conehead Seekers

Nacho, you're nuttier than I am, because there's no way I'm shelling out anymore for those other repaints. I do like that they've retooled the Starscream mold on Sunstorm (I'm assuming so, anyways) so that they have the new tail-fin mounts. I'm sticking with these 3, but I think they're going...

    Review: iGear Conehead Seekers

The funny thing is, besides MP-10, there's not been a damned thing we've posted about in there that's actually from Takara. US MP Rodimus is Hasbro, and all the other awesomeness is 3rd party companies. Like this... I think PCS sold off his TFs, and besides him, yeah... it's basically you, me...

Basically. I didn't want to clog up the Takara thread.

    Review: iGear Conehead Seekers

I got these little guys about 2 years ago, and I feel like they're severely underrated and rarely even mentioned. Maybe because the Alternity line was sort of the scaled-down successor to the Binaltech/Alternators line, or because the movie-verse totally stole their spotlight, or what, but I...

    Review: iGear Conehead Seekers

Okay, if you haven't heard about these guys, then prepare to be amazed. They're knockoff/3rd party, reverse-engineered "Conehead" Seekers to finish up the 6 main G1 Decepticon jets. And they're awesome. (Despite a bit, um, morally "gray". More on that later.) So we've finally got Thrust...

    Grounded

Not a perfect setup, but I decided to use the flash on the DSLR... Turned out not too bad, considering this was stuffed in the corner of our dining room, on the floor, with just the dining room light shining on it. I still need to paint the little bird, but this was my only time to shoot...

    Broken Arrow Toys

I bought the Modern Flight helmet because the HALO gear was out of stock, but I essentially painted the green helmet black and added the O2 tank that Cloud was nice enough to send me... My last order was over a year ago from there. The order did take a little while, but he clearly states that...

Tutorial: Creating Dio Walls from Foam

It really depends on what you're going for. I've had to use a mix of tools to cut it. If you're going "against" the grain, it sometimes rips, which is unfortunate. Luckily with brick, you can chip away at it and it'll just look work. You may need to "score" the lines with a sharp blade first...

Tutorial: Creating Dio Walls from Foam

I used a metal, flathead screwdriver that was the height of the bricks to punch the vertical lines... The parallel horizontal likes I did with the straight edge and blade or pin, depending on the effect I was looking for. Hopefully that makes sense?

Tutorial: Creating Dio Walls from Foam

Btw, welcome JLT. Hopefully this comes in handy for you and others. I can only take the credit for making the tutorial from a novice's standpoint, and documenting it for the 1:18th crowd here... Guys like SICDETH inspired me to even bother, and I just took techniques from other tutorials that...

Tutorial: Creating Dio Walls from Foam

Yeah, look for the 1/2" if you can find it. I imagine the thicker board would work wonders for making terrain and mountains though. If I had a bigger space to work, I'd be making larger displays like mountain faces and rock formations and ruins. For the time being I'm stuck in an apartment with...

    Custom 1:18 Army Staff Car

That turned out awesome! Even the figures look great with it, and I normally don't like those guys! The first pic is fantastic. Great job on the lighting man. (Not to mention the paint, etc.)

    All in the Family

Just another quick shoot to preview my Zandar custom with his siblings. This is a revision of my original Zandar custom, with the new SDS head and Storm Shadow neckerchief, but the rest is the same as before. I did repaint a good deal of the figure, such as the chest tattoos and the majority of...

How do you remove 25th style Gung Ho's hat?

Yeah, that one made it to the Eddieism thread the second I read it.

How do you remove 25th style Gung Ho's hat?

The Gung Ho head sculpt has a peg on the end, kind of like a lego man's head, so there's a good deal of surface area. Just work your way around the edges like Eddie said, and it should eventually pry up.
