49 cent Joe scale berets at Ollies

I was in Ollies the other day looking for anything Joe related and I spotted a cheaply made 3 inch figure. For some reason I decided to take a closer look and I discovered a very cool additon: a Joe scaled beret. I bought one and brought it home and after seeing that it worked pretty well I grabbed a few more. The figure cost .49 cents and is part of the Chinese lead brigade but it does come with some accessories that will work with a group of custom mercenaries I am working on. Heres some pics of the beret on a few joes and the packaging.

Its kinda like a ghetto Big Lots. Clearance stuff mostly. I will admit that I have found some cool stuff there in the past. 7 years ago when they opened in the Ohio Valley I found all the TRU stuff from 97-thru for like 90 % off. They got the Joe armor cycle and scout hiss last year and I saw a thread somewhere that people were finding money bags destro and Low Light for 3.99. I havent found any of them yet. The berets are really kinda cool, I have 4 DG Black troopers as special forces unit.

I love Ollies, They got the last 3 waves of the 25th line here (3.99 each) and the Cobra Island sets (Cobra Only). The Cobra Island sets were only 9.99. I bought a Cobra Island for myself and one each for my boys. Also got a ton of the Cobra Flints and red faced troopers.


I want to find a few of the lead force for that rifle, Is that a bolt action?

That is indeed bolt action. I hear ya about loving Ollies. I found the Cobra Island set and bought one and mentioned ot my wife that I wanted to troop build the set. After 2 weeks no one else was buying any of them and she asked how many I would get if I could. I told her and later that day she came home with 5 more sets. The other Ollies near me wasnt moving them so I bought a couple more. I waited to see if anyone else was buying them and when they stuck around I bought a couple more. I found the Patriot Grizzly, The Crimson Copter, the Joe Base that was re-released for the TRU stuff and a thunderwing there as well.

I plan on covering them with primer then repainting them for a generic militia for the joes and cobras to tangle with. They also come with backpacks that light up and make rifle sounds.

Outstanding! They sold here pretty quick. A local buddy of mine bought a couple of sets as well for the BATS and AV's. I got the rest of the figs from him in trade. I wish they would have had the Joe sets too.
