G.I.Joe Charbroil -KeepItClean Customs

Last custom until I start up with more new stuff, didn't mean to spam your Customs forum

The story behind this custom is that joe flame weapon specialist codenamed: Charbroil, Carl Shannon had an accident out in the field with his old gear (HERE )his wonderful tech was blown up along with him, but he survived although horribly scarred. He took up some of fellow joe special weapon specialist Blowtorch's gear and a simple fire retardant fireman suit. Additionally he has also been outfitted with a experimental fire blast rifle by Mainframe. Armed to the teeth with a new more aggressive attitude he leads my custom joe team Flamethrower squad (yet to be named).....additional members coming soon along with a special vehicle

Don't worry about "spamming" the custom section... we haven't had a lot lot of activity as of late anyway.

Another Homerun! He looks like the original character but very modernized. I like the head and of course the stand agin. I'm a real sucker for the stands.

I'm interested in knowing how many hours you put into these? They look very time consuming.

what paints do you use? i noticed with all your customs, the paint seems very thick and chunky, and not thin and smooth.

10 4 sir, time depends man I work on one or two figs and a vehicle at same time because it's a lot of hurry up and waiting for paint to dry. Once in awhile I'll do a whole figure on a Saturday or Sunday but on average maybe 4-5 hours. Maybe 2 hours of actual focused painting.

I actually did a Charbroil Custom in honor of yours, just a simple head swap like the one you used and a Renegades Ripcord helmet!

One day I'll get it right, using citadel paints at the moment sir.

i never tried that or the tamia or whatever it is called. i used model masters, and it always comes out smooth. you don't see brush strokes or anything.

i too thought of using that head for a fire fighter, being his head is burned looking, then thought maybe a nok, but now i have that head on the res destro body, not sure if it will stay on there, i always switch the heads on things i work on.
