I refuse, absolutely refuse to pay those kinds of prices. I am probably the biggest Pirates of the Caribbean fan out there.. and I didn't buy any of the LEGO's (and I LOVE LEGO's) because they were ridiculously priced.

It's insane how much they want to charge for sets these days.. and people still pay it!

Obviously you didn't go to walmart and pick those up when they were 50% off. I got most of the pirates at that price and many of the ones I don't have are still sitting on the shelf about to go down as not all the stores have dropped the prices.
