Retaliation Wave two Roadblock in hand

The slow boat from China was pretty quick actually.

Pictures first, then my thoughts.

Alright. So first things first...he has two working hands. That right there is enough to put him above the previous version. Articulation is to the max. Rocker ankles, double knees, ball wrists and all the standard Joe articulation.

The sculpt is fantastic. The head is spot on, and better looking than W1. The arms are a bit too veiny for my taste...but eh. The vest is nice, and has a lot of detail that could be brought out with a decent wash. The big ass holsters on his hips kinda kill it though. With them, though, you can fit everything he came with (which I'm sure isn't complete) on him. The battle kata parts, while a cool concept, look big and clunky. I thought the M2 was a new sculpt at first...but looks like I was wrong.

Over all, I like him much better than the W1 version. I will probably buy a single carded one next year, just so I can have a complete version of him.

I like him from the knees-up, sans those abortions strapped to his thighs. And I almost got a Mark I trench knife with him, too.


And I'm REALLY not getting the beef with the W.1/3-pack head sculpt. It looks like Dwayne Fucking Johnson. Maybe a younger one, but there's no mistaking who it is. A lot better likeness than the RoC Channing Tatertot.

I have quite a few ideas for customs using this figure as the base, and was bummed to find out that I have to wait until next year to be able to bring my ideas to fruition. About the only thing I don't care for, much like you, is the size of those holsters. A solid looking figure all-in-all though, and looks to be a good custom base for the bigger characters in the Joeverse.

I don't think the W1 head doesn't look like him. This one just looks closer to him in the movie. I'm going to see if this vest will fit on the W1 figure tonight.

I'll have some better pics as well. My phone does decent...but the up close pics suck.

One thing I just noticed, despite having a ball joint neck, the head only goes side to side. Nothing for up and down due to the neck/head sculpt combo.

Same on the W.1. It's not an issue I've addressed on mine. Last time I went about fixing range of motion I ruined a Rengades Duke torso.

It's not a big deal on him at all. I'll probably have him just standing as it is.

I may see if Jesse wants to cast some of the parts from him. Mostly the vest.

I think W.2 Rock has a wider jaw, and his fruity facial hair is definitely thicker.

nice, i can dig it, it's articulated. maybe i will hold off to get this figure to fix the wave 1 version. i really like the wave one version alot except for the common flaws we all hate about it.

He looks so cool, I really wish this would have been the wave 1 RB. I was bidding on a couple on eBay but he got too rich for my blood.

I was able to grab him before they announced that wave 2 was pushed back til next year....so the price was decent. Same for Snake Eyes.

Really cool, those hip boxes will go if I ever get my hands on one. Plenty of Trooper bilateral to replace with.
