I am located in Germany and I probably can find some bruder and dickie/majorette items in normal prices or even lower in german ebay, which is full with used bruder and dickie vehicles.. I ve seen the camper vehicle in many toy stores for around 25$.
I will be more than happy to help! just pm what exactly you want and I will come back to you. I will charge only cost of item + shipping to USA. no extra charges

for example dickie camper
http://www.amazon.de/s/ref=nb_sb_ss...s=dickie camper&sprefix=dickie+camper,aps,245

I got a kiddie Tonka garbage truck and tow truck. After I tear off the oversized levers, they should look pretty cool for 1:18.

http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3918722

EDIT, lol.. it even comes with an 1:18 guy, I got mine off ebay for a couple bucks each from a pawn shop selling broken ones.

We got our oldest son a garbage truck from that same line, except ours didn't have that robotic side-arm/garbage snatcher. Those vehicles are pretty nice, and like you said, those side levers are the only drawback.
The figure that came with his had funky arms, the older ones don't have the bicep swivel point and his arms were positioned so that all he could do was move at the elbow (and shoulder) like he was beating his chest.

Noticeably out of scale with the figure, but it may be ignorable.

That video of the features it has gave me a chubby, though. Potential like a motherfucker.

the shipping cost from Germany to USA will be (economy shipping, no tracking number or insurance)

5,5$ if the pacakge is up to 500gr (1,1 lbs) (if you want tracking number and insurance then add 4$)

14$ if the package is up to 1kg (2,2 lbs) (if you want tracking number and insurance then add 4$)

25$ if the package is more than 1kg but less than 2kg (4,4lbs) (if you want tracking number and insurance then add 23$)

48$ if the package is more than 2kg (4,4lbs) but less than 5kg (11lbs) (this one has tracking number and insurance)

I have shipped many items all over the world and I ve never had a problem with german economy air mail.
Its safe, fast, trustworthly. totally recommended.

if you search german amazon (amazon.de), you can see under the "Produktinformation"
the "Produktgewicht inkl. Verpackung" : that means weight of the product with its box

for example this one
http://www.amazon.de/BP-203314852-Di...=dickie+camper

weighs 1,6 kg (that means 25$ as shipping cost)

but this http://www.amazon.de/Dickie-Spielzeu...sim_sbs_toy_10

weighs only 499gr (that means 5,5$ as shipping cost)

you can see most of the models here

http://www.dickietoys.de/en/products.shtml

(check especially the s.o.s. category and the kids mate... there are some really cool vehicles and boats there!)

10cm are around 4 inches

for example
http://www.amazon.de/Dickie-Spielze...&qid=1368204589&sr=1-9&keywords=dickie+camper

http://www.amazon.de/Dickie-Spielze...&qid=1368204589&sr=1-8&keywords=dickie+camper

http://www.amazon.de/Simba-Holiday-...&qid=1368204589&sr=1-5&keywords=dickie+camper

http://www.amazon.de/Dickie-Holiday...&qid=1368204589&sr=1-4&keywords=dickie+camper

http://www.amazon.de/Dickie-2033148...&qid=1368204589&sr=1-2&keywords=dickie+camper

http://www.amazon.de/Dickie-Spielze...&qid=1368204589&sr=1-3&keywords=dickie+camper

http://www.amazon.de/BP-203314852-D...&qid=1368204589&sr=1-1&keywords=dickie+camper

In german amazon you can find a lot of those campers and in different styles.
The companys name is DICKIE (or sometimes SIMBA)
CAMPER is the name in german too
and you can use also transporter

Maßstab is scale.

from the amazon categories you choose "spielzeug" which means toys and games

Dickie says that most of them are 1:18 but I am not sure about that... to me they look like 1:24 or something like that.
I will upload some photos today from some of the items I have from them in the thread.

If you could be more specific about the models you want, I could search in ebay for a used one as well and try to get it cheaper.

the background building panels are also 1:18 and are made by The Willoughbian

the figs fit well inside the front seats but also in the back seat. Maybe the front seats are a little bit bigger, but joes love to be comfy... :D

the stretchers are awesome and the "railroad system" works pretty well and keeps the stretcher solid inside the van. the up and down mechanism of the strecher works also well.

Any requests? I hope I have enough room in my suitcase.

hey! someone who is well informed about toy stores in Germany! how did you know??

Where I live there is no kaufhof or müller, so I dont know...In kaufland you may find something at you can try at the local toy stores. They carry bruder and dickie usually.

i I bought mine online (ebay.de and amazon.de, mytoys.de, http://www.babyprofi.de/Spielwaren/spielfahrzeuge/index.htm )

if you want any help with the language let me know

Das Sprache ist eigentlich kein Problem. :D

ok! wusste das nicht! lol

dont want to be an a$$... but ist DIE Sprache... :p

The freaking articles are so hard to learn... I am still making lots of errors... It was one the more difficult parts while learning german. Even with a random choice you have only 33,33% chances of success...

have a good trip!
