I actually like the head swap on him. Does make him look a little more "weathered". I was never really a fan of this figure. Can't count how many times I passed him up.

i really like this figure...they did, IMO, a great job of re-using parts...except the lower legs/boots...they just look awful goofy here...reguardless, i think hes a really nice figure...

And damn, that Dusty head makes him look like a badass. If we still have Dusti all over the pegs here, I may buy another one to steal the head from.
I like this fig. Even with the bright colors. He was one of my faves when I was a kid so I will probably be picking this one up if I ever find anything new.
That is nice! I had an extra Lift-Ticket head I used. I painted his hair brown to make him different.
Excellent review, but what I'm really diggin' is the headswap! I think I might just steal that one...

Great head swap, makes the character that much more bad ass now. still not crazy about that figure, but it does help.
I agree that Crazy Legs looks too young, so I swapped his head with the Rise of Cobra General Hawk head, the one that's wearing the green beret. And yes, that red bullseye helmet he wore had to go! The helmet he now wears is one from a Unimax Army figure. I had to shave away some of Hawk's beret to make the helmet fit. Now he looks like a true veteran Ranger. And due to the head swap and different helmet, I now like this figure much better. Funny how it works out that way!
I just wish that the red striping and red arm pouches on his jumpsuit were OD Green. This figure could've looked so much better, although I realize that Hasbro was paying homage to the original figure.
BTW, my Crazy Legs uses the bbi FN Mk.46 Model 0, one of the best looking and best detailed 1:18 scale machine guns I've ever seen. I just wish I could get a hold of a couple more of these without having to buy the bbi figure that they come with!
And to me, the face of Crazy Legs on the package front and file card resembles Dennis Quaid's, so I figured this would be the best head swap.
