Another great Acid Rain World release

Reviving a long dead zombie thread for this, but I just found out that Acid Rain is apparently making 1:12 scale figures now. Yeah I know, I'm probably way late to this particular information, but it makes me wonder, is 1:12 the new master scale? This makes Joe, SW, Marvel, Vala, Monster(?), Acid Rain, BBWS/Fury, Ramen, Gridiron and probably a few others (DC?) making product in this scale.
I saw those for the first time last week. The prominent ball shoulders that remind me of old ToyBiz marvel legends are a bit of a turnoff. It's like they're using 2008 figure construction. Even Vala was better than this out of the gate.
That plus the $41/ea price pretty much eliminates any chance I'm going to buy any, but I'm glad they're in the game. I'm sure they'll refine the designs and maybe put out something more appealing and worth the price of entry down the road.

No doubt. When Marvel, DC, SW, Joe, MOTU, Thundercats, and a zillion smaller companies and lines are all in the 6-7" scale, it's hard for anyone to buck that trend. I mean, 1:18 still has ARW, Super7, JoyToy, Marauders, all the various kickstarter campaigns for o-rings and others... but they seem to cost about the same as 1:12 figures, so you're not saving anything but some space while sacrificing 80% of the detail.I think the big takeaway here is that 1:12 scale - Everybody's doing it...
