Thanks guys. I did this to show that you don't need much room or a complex setup to take diorama photos. If not for the loose sand I could have done this indoors on my workbench. :)
Alternate views of my prospective banner entries.
Here's a behind-the-scenes look.
As you can see, what's in the pics is pretty much all I set up. A halogen work lamp is the sun (not needed if the actual sun is out :p ), and a small pile of sand is the entire desert. A wide paintbrush...
Same, but the only way that'll happen is if I buy one more helo, then I'll have TWO with symmetrical loadouts. :)
I'll only need a few numbers from it; you're welcome to the rest when I'm done.
I think so. I got a couple of PLA figure sets a few months ago with Melvin's help, and the guns were a Type 97 with drum mag and scope, and Type 95s with different attachments (grenade launcher, bayonet). I posted pics when I got them, but now I can't seem to find them.
EDIT: Found it...
I know such services do exist for customizers, I remember an older issue of FineScale Modeler magazine where a guy had a custom photoetch pattern made (for an aircraft carrier, I believe).
Sadly I don't have it anymore, I donated all my old books and magazines before moving to Australia.
I have a couple of PASGT-type helmets (Chinese PTE) that could be useful, but they're moulded in a flexible rubbery vinyl which might be difficult to make a master of.
