Tutorial: Creating Dio Walls from Foam

Damn Rick! Pretty balla' if you ask me. I didn't think much could improve your dioramas but I think this may be what puts you at "elite" status. I guess I'm going to have to get some supplies now and give this a shot. Glad winter is coming. :D

Tech Deck - Love Park review

And you should weather them Snakeling. It really will make pictures stand out way more. They will take at most an hour. Just put a clear finish on them after in case you have to clean it. Then, it won't take the paint off.

I think they are just barriers for the fountain DSB. Kind of a decoration/deterrent type of obstacle.

Tech Deck - Love Park review

Thanks Edwardo! They are fun to work on honestly. This one did take more time than most of the others. There were a lot of small areas to hit. I think Puloski Park was the only other one that was a pain. It really makes a difference on them.

Tech Deck - Love Park review

Had to weather it. Pretty much all of them need it. I also spray a clear coat on them in case I want to use blood or something else.

Tech Deck - Love Park review

This set does have two tiles on the upper deck that pop up for ramps. Not really much use for dioramas but it is another feature that can be used. It also has a sign that can be removed if wanted. The sign does need weathering of course. The steps are small so a figure may have to skip a...

Tech Deck - Love Park review

This is the Tech Deck play set Love Park. It's a nice one that has a fountain in the middle of it. Not much area for cover but it has potential for a multitude of scenes. A lamp post would really accent this for a night scene. As with any of these sets, they really do need a black wash...

    Mobile Air Defense (desert)

Sponged it, Medd. I'm lazy so it does the job for me much better than I wan to put effort into. I actually like the way the sponge makes camo patterns look but I may try tiger stripes on a vehicle next.

    Marvel Q&A-Due 8/5/11

Well, I was told the Marvel questions are in a holding pattern so if/when they come back we will get notified. Not sure if it's BS or not but that's what I was told.

    Custom Micronauts Lobros *DONE*

That is sheer genius! Well played on the use of parts. This will look pretty damn cool once it's done considering it already is looking balla'.

    POC Hawk quick part swap

The second I saw the Steel Brigade vest I couldn't fathom keeping it on that figure. The POC Hawk body seemed like a more appropriate place. Kind of tough though since that figure already comes with awesome gear. The back hole on the vest actually has room for movement so it does not...

Tech Deck - Pulaski Park set review

In closing, I do feel this set has a lot of potential for dioramas. There are quite a few scenarios you can play out with it. Of course, a good background will help dramatically so if you have a printer find a good back drop online to put behind it. The street sign can easily be removed too...

Tech Deck - Pulaski Park set review

The biggest downfall to this set is the piece that separates the two structures. It is just a cardboard floor that has tiles printed. Spraying it with a matte finish can help for pictures since it seems to glare with certain lighting. It can also be completely removed and you can add your own...

Tech Deck - Pulaski Park set review

This is a set from the Street Tours line by Tech Deck. They retail for $19.99 and come with a play set and a finger board. This set is a little different from the others as it has areas that are separated. It also has a sign that does not have to stay if not wanted. This set is a one of...

Tech Deck - 3rd & Army set review

Yea, this set is cool to have if you have extra space and loot. Not a necessity but it can be used. Not sure what I'm going to do with the graffiti. I may try to match the color to cover them and then black wash it. It's a project once winter shows up.

Tech Deck - Steve Williams street hits (brick wall) review

If you took a dremel to it and cut out some of the mortar and maybe added a few holes to the brick. You could probably cut some of the plastic off with a thick razor knife too.

Tech Deck - 3rd & Army set review

Diorama-wise, this set is somewhat limited because of it's height. This would be nice set up in front of a park or something like that. It can be used on it's own but is almost a set that could use something added to it. Not a bad set but it would not be one of the first ones I would get if...

Tech Deck - 3rd & Army set review

This is one of the Tech Deck Street Tour sets called 3rd & Army. It is a park in San Fransisco (as noted on the box). Not one of the more elevated sets but it does have a few features that give it use. The set comes with everything shown and a finger board. This set has a small set of...
