    AngelForge updates

I spoke to him via email a couple days ago. He was sick and had some downtime, and is now trying to catch up.

    Cobra Cottonmouth - WIP

Thanks! Hoping to have an update soon, but I need to wait for the gun/shields to get here first.

    Modern Copperhead v2

I know I did this once before, but I wasn't really pleased with how it turned out. With the Wave "3.5" Ultimate Roadblock, I decided to give it another go. The paint is unchanged, I felt it worked as-is for what I envisioned. So, here's Copperhead, the pilot for the Cobra Cottonmouth. Parts...

    AngelForge updates

I'm down for both the classic and a modern Wild Weasel, so I'll be looking for a good flight suit picture.

    AngelForge updates

I think he posted it on HT. Don't think he posted it on Facebook. Much as I hate linking to HT: http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-joe-customs-finished-projects/384792-new-wildweasel-torso.html

    AngelForge updates

Ah, well yeah. That one is definitely Krexx making a fairly faithful 'better-that-the-25th-version' interpretation of a classic Wild Weasel. It's not gonna be everyone's cup of tea for sure. I think I'm gonna do two WW's and pick one. A classic one with Krexx's sculpts, and something more modern...

    AngelForge updates

What's wrong with the WW torso? I think the pouches are a little bulkier than they should be, but overall I like it.

    Cobra Cottonmouth - WIP

The twin fan/single engine setup looking okay? I don't know if the engine section looks big enough to drive the two fans. But at the same time, if I say it's like.. a Rolls Royce V12 driving those fans, it actually sort of works.

    Cobra Cottonmouth - WIP

Update: Cut out a lot of the standoffs for the RC parts, apoxy and some patience to fill in those holes. Fitted the engine and fans to the deck, threw everything back together for pictures. I DID end up using the fixed Moccasin guns as exhausts, and I need to work on bits and pieces to throw...

I'm not sure I want to know what goes on in your bathtub, Obi. :rainbow:

All the pieces would be easy. The hull, not so much.

    Cobra Cottonmouth - WIP

All this excitement and drama. You'd think I'd have to find some way to get this thing cast and make a kit or something.

    Cobra Cottonmouth - WIP

Thanks! My main goal is to have a crew of 5(Driver, 3 Gunners, Engineer), which would be my updated Copperhead and 4 CCNs(I think they are fitting as Cobra Marines), and then a few Eels for underwater ops. So, either the Eel comes out or I buy some shitty Wave 3.5 Snake Eyes and turn them...

Engine/housing and twin fans. With some careful trimming and a bit of heat I fit the center vane control to the two inside vanes to control all four: That is the back third of a water moccasin(sting raider) top shell with the fans/vanes from two.

    AngelForge updates

It's The Angelforge's forum. That's really all there is there. Some people showcasing AF sculpts in customs, etc.

    Captain Karnage - WIP

I figured this guy deserved his own thread now, since all that's left really is a bit of paint, and to finish his boat, the Cottonmouth. So.. Cobra Naval Captain, Pirate, and part-time Dreadnok. (Now that I've done this I'm kinda wanting to do the rest of his crew. Damn you, KT.) He just...

    Cobra Cottonmouth - WIP

Update isn't anything major. I got rails and such fitted so I can keep from scratching it up after painting, and got the ropes temporarily attached so you can see how they look. Plus, it's a clearer picture using my actual camera.
  18. XOC2008

    Cobra Cottonmouth - WIP

Yeah, I was unsure about those anyway. I'm thinking of doing the gun/shields with one center foredeck, and then two just in front of the seats and rail mount them to preserve some room on deck. Also don't know if I should start all the way forward with the ropes, or start them further back...

    Cobra Cottonmouth - WIP

Hah! I'll get some more when I use my actual camera and not my phone, and under some better light.

    Cobra Cottonmouth - WIP

I figured I'd give this thing its own thread now. I'm still waiting on bits and pieces to finish it off, plus paint and stickers and/or decals. Parts List(As of Today): Hull, Pilot's Seat - Hobbyking Swamp Dawg RC Airboat Wheelhouse, Seats, Safety Bars - PTE Patrol Boat 'Ropes' and...
