It has the gun mounted underneath with lateral movement as well... but I had it pushed over to the right side while wrestling with the assembly and failed to re-center it, so it didn't show in the pics. Yeah, 3d printing is a mixed bag. Some people are making great designs, but I cannot stand...

On a happier note, I finally got some time to unbox the Fanshobby Air Eagle, aka Sky Hawk, and it's massive. The pics don't do the size justice. I threw in some Hot Wheels just for scale. It's yuuuuuuuge. I actually like their original design configuration, as it gives the thing some...

No... she doesn't use my account. She doesn't order anything online. She just sends me links and says "go". ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Honestly, my luck with target is so bad, I don't even check them when I'm hunting anything. Unless someone posts a specific link to something on sale, they're totally off my...

Yeah, I don't get that option. But I'm just glad to get them ordered at all. I loathe Target exclusives, as I don't live near one, they're rarely available online, and the stores I can bother drive to are usually devoid of anything interesting... like the good stuff goes out the back and...

How do you get the target deal? I see a "spend $60, get $10 off", but I can't order three breakers. Is there a code for the 20% off?

    Takara Transformers

Magic Square MP-scale Onslaught just revealed, releasing this month! They didn't even bother with the 6-12 mo PO cycle, just "oh hey, here it is!" Looks really good, IMO. And they're saying Vortex will be out by June. Would be pretty amazing for any 3P to complete an MP combiner in under a...

Another angle is merely that she's a (former) model and has the ability to change her looks pretty dramatically with ease. She knows all the tricks. The original figure with short red hair was such a fugly bobblehead, the blonde is definitely my preference.

Also, I ordered a couple of these stages for Cold Slither performances. They're a little small for a stadium-style show, but using a couple to build a stage 2ft wide, might have to elevate the upper scaffolding a little, but should be a sufficient Joe-scale venue. The lights are functional...

I think the Flint figure/sculpt looks fantastic. But I agree, the card art is profoundly bad. Previous retro releases used card art that was nearly identical to the vintage, but Flint looks like someone's kid photoshopped a cartoon head on the vintage artwork. WTF Mattel! Glad the figure...

I think you're right about the various artists in comics, but also, at its peak, the comic was selling 500k-1M copies, and most of the run was far below that. Conversely, the cartoon was reaching many millions of boys age 5-15 during that span for free and in syndication in perpetuity. So you...

Construction-wise, yeah, they're about the same. But I think if you look at them side-by-side, the ReAction+ keep major visual cues, but they're waaaaaaay more toon accurate. OG duke was hella-goofy looking with a big stupid noggin. Serpentor isn't quite as stark, but he's a noticeable...

I hear you. I really loved TF back in the day (*almost* as much as Joe) despite the brick-like nature, wonky scales, and general hodge-podge nature of the line... and I still love all the modern G1-inspired MPs and Legends (mostly 3P)... but I don't have severe nostalgia for the original toys...

You guys have probably seen "Missing Link" Optimus Prime... i.e. HasTak releasing a figure that is basically 100% G1 Prime, now with some actual articulation. They're working on "Missing Link" Bumblebee and Cliffjumper, giving the lillte OG minibots some knees and elbows. They look exactly...

I hear you, but S7 is not even remotely trying to appeal to 25th/POC/50th fans. They're going for fans of the vintage toys and producing characters and decos from the cartoon and comics that we never got in the vintage line. It's not a matter of being spoiled by modern figures... I think it...

I think the prices hurt Ultimates more than Classified did, as the aesthetics have been starkly different until very recently. No matter how many cool accessories they include, the $55 value proposition was a tough sell to anyone but the most hardcore. But even with retro classified, they...

I agree there is likely to be some cannibalization in theory... but that assumes S7 is sticking with 7" figures at all. The only thing in the Joe Ultimates pipeline is the Red Laser CoCo repaint. Nothing else on PO, nothing else even announced or hinted at. Speculation is that they're moving...

I'll have to get rid of the kneepads and replace Breaker's webgear with some stolen from a retro Stalker, but overall, it's a huge improvement over the RAM version. And it's an added plus that he's supposedly coming with a MASS element. Cold Slither... it's hard to imagine this WASN'T going to...
