Agreed, it would be easy to fall into the hubris trap. Hopefully they learn the lesson that giving people value is the way to a successful campaign, rather than the "Holy crap, we're too awesome to fail. They'll buy anything!" mentality the SW team seems to have adopted.

It's likely. I heard rumors (from someone claims to be in the know) that the CG in the retro line was originally supposed to be a different figure, so I very much agree with you. And I have no doubt that a non-Mickey version will get a mass release at some point.
