    Awesome dio set for 1:18 / 1:12

Problem is that you need mutables of the sets to get enough coverage for more than a single room or half of a small hallway. Otherwise, you're disassembling/reassembling for every single shot. I like these a lot, but I don't think I like them $300-$400 worth.

    Takara Transformers

No, I still like him a lot. Do I still wish he was in darker toy colors? Yes, and I will probably rebuy him when they do a toy repaint. But the proportions are just so much better than all the other options, new or old. I think he's a "win", and I'm really excited about the Legends-scale...

    Takara Transformers

At least the non-earth modes made sense, as it was set in the "far" future of 2005, so you could imagine the alt modes being cybertronian or futuristic earth vehicles. But those S2 guys... they showed up from nowhere, without explanation, and completely replaced the ark crew. At least the...

    Takara Transformers

That's pretty much how I feel about Season 2 characters. I like S3 guys much better b/c they replaced all the S2 posers (who inexplicably appeared out of nowhere and took over the show with their horrible accents and treasonous behavior). Don't make me go on a rant about how all S2 autobots...

    Takara Transformers

I'm with PCS on this one. I've had too many "simplified" TF toons for one lifetime, and I much prefer something along the lines of the animation style of Macross or Gundam. As long as the human characters don't have crazy big-eyes, I'm good. The quality of the animation is so much better than...

    Takara Transformers

My best friend growing up had a 928, and I was... unimpressed. Neither the 924 or 928 was particularly great. As far as porsches go, they're both pretty 'meh'. They're the boxsters of the 80's.

I think the difference is that with combiners, they always required a bunch of add-on parts and partsforming. If I thought there was even a remote chance of making the gestalt look correct while keeping the bots in scale with one another, I'd be less forgiving. But I think even hardcore G1...

    Takara Transformers

These look ok I suppose. By the time they come out, my zeta Superion and XTB Menasor will have several layers of dust and many years of enjoyment under my belt. This one might be "better" in some subjective sense, but I'll never know. It's just too little, too late. I've determined that FT...

Anybody still collecting SW on here?

That's interesting. You should do some cool weathering on it before sinking it, giving it that old, rusted look like a shipwreck or whatnot.

I'm with Eddie. It's cool as a transforming robot... but I'm not into generic transforming robots. My attachment to the entire genre is purely due to G1 nostalgia. And that's why I'm not into voltron or any other myriad of japanese anime robots. It's true that I don't like bayformers, but...

    Marauder Inc. General Thread

Good to know. I'm not in a big rush or anything. I've been burned by casting folks so many times, I'm numb to it. Anything I order that arrives in under six months feels like a win.

Why is Jesus wear a suit and wielding a machine gun? I placed my first order at Marauders for some figure parts a few weeks ago. What is their typical lead time?

Plant Green Valley 1:18 scale line.

The paint on the neck might be a bit off, but probably no more so than most action figures that try to match flesh paint to flesh molded plastic.

Plant Green Valley 1:18 scale line.

I broke down and ordered a few of the ladies. The number of good 1:18 civilians is very small, so I figured I'd better add these to the arsenal of potential hostages, passers-by, and undercover disguises.

Plant Green Valley 1:18 scale line.

Man, I would like to pick up a couple of these, but at $44, I'm out... What happened to the $12 price target?!?!

Right? I PO'd the skiff from hasbropulse, as it'll make a nice addition to my vintage box display.

    Takara Transformers

That's what I mean when I called him a shellformer. The robot has nothing to do with the car. Whereas most G1 autobots are distinct and recognizable because of the iconic car parts that form parts of the robot. Generic robot with giant car hanging off the back is just lazy and worthless, IMO.

    Takara Transformers

Yeah, it definitely reminds me of the old SW TFs. I never bought any of them because I didn't know what to do with a robotic Chewbacca or a Darth Vader that turns into a Death Star. What's the point? I don't understand the play-pattern hasbro expect from these crossover TFs. Unless they make...

G.I. Kre-O, Kre-O, MegaBloks CoD and LEGO discussions

Lego sets are just getting more and more repetitive, licensed or otherwise. How many Ninjago dragons can they pump out in every color of the rainbow? Every line has the same helicopter, but the police one is blue, while the arctic one is orange. Yippie! I miss the Agents line, as my son was...
