    Marvel Infinite 2014

Walmart could reset ten times and it wouldn't matter... if they don't say Avengers on the front or tie into a major theatrical release, my WMs aren't getting any.

It's funny. When I buy kre-o's, I'm 90% interested in the little guys and about 10% in the actual building sets. With these CoD sets, I really like the little environment pieces and some of the larger vehicles, but I couldn't care less about the multitude of army men, zombies, or other useless...

    Marvel Infinite 2014

Well, they rebranded it specifically to get away from the MU line... so that retailers would associate it with the Spidey/Cap/Avengers movie lines (the packaging sure does look similar to the Marvel movie lines and SW Black) and be more likely to bite. So while I like the MU packaging for...

Per the TF boards: With Toy Fair 2014 fast approaching, we have received a tip about the fate of the Transformers Kre-O line. According to the information which we have received, the Transformers Kre-O series is currently on hiatus, pending a relaunch as a Toys R Us exclusive, and it is not...

    MU update

Wasp's still the only redeeming figure in the wave, but the packaging is ok. I don't like it as much as the MU packaging, but it's far better than what I imagined when they said that all MU figures would be in an "Avengers" line going forward. This is still pretty generic marvel, which I like...

    Marvel Legends

Well, as crazy as the price seems, even the jacked up price merely puts them on par with MOTUC/DCU figures. And if you factor in tax and shipping, they still beat the cost of 5 matty figures. Sure, the stuff sold by digital river is "limited" and aimed at collectors, but I would argue that...

Go home; you're drunk! http://marvelousnews.com/index.php?catid=252&itemid=16952 I'll admit to caving on these @ $119... but even then I felt guilty...

    MU update

I did that about 6-7 years ago, and I went back to the beginning (i.e. Toybiz wave 1). Of course, this was while TB was still clinging to the license and well before Hasbro obsoleted most of the early figures. The problem is, I keep them all in the package waiting for my kids to be old enough...

My WMs completely stopped carrying MU. Target is my only option, and they put out two cases a year. I'll end up having to buy these online, either Amazon or ebay.

    MU update

Yeah, that's a nice figure. Hulk, Grim Reaper, and Hyperion do nothing for me. And I have enough Cap and IM figures for ten lifetimes. Those Cap/IM figures don't even look like new sculpts, just repack/repaints. Wasp is clearly the jewel in an otherwise very weak wave.

Yeah, the scale in the description is a typo. Those are MU figures.

    MU update

Yeah, I couldn't justify buying a $40-50 multipack of armor rehashes for him, but that's a really cool figure.

Why are half of them listed as "platinum"? Is that some kind of premium packaging, or are we getting metallic painted figures? Either way it seems rather odd.

    Suck it, toy snobs!

I recently moved into my new house (finally!), and I'm getting box after box after box of toys out of my storage unit. Many of these boxes are full of my ARAH MOC collection. In displaying them on the wall (by year of course) in my new man-cave, I got to the end of the class of '82, and there...

TRU is the same price as WM on the abrams, 59.99. Last week they had a bogo 40% off, so I picked up the Abrams and the Dome Battleground. They look pretty damn cool.

Best 1:18 Toys from your youth & Best collectable 1:18 from adulthood.

As a kid, I loved everything. Joe, TF, and MOTU. I'd have to say my all time favorite toys were Castle Greyskull, Jetfire, Shockwave, Skystriker, Joe HQ, Dragonfly, & WHALE. As an adult, my faves are not all that different. Nearly ten years later, I still love MP Optimus Prime (the 20th...

Well, that's why I wanted to find a second, so I could get the 40% off and make the average cost of the sets closer to $60. That seemed more reasonable. Of course, *reasonable* is a joke in lego-world. The idea that a few hundred plastic bricks that cost about $2 to manufacture would cost...
