It's waaaaaaay better (made by Autoworld), but also much more expensive. The wheels/tires look 100% better, and the interior and engine detail are on a different level. The rims on the older version are seriously off somehow. The new one has correct larger numbers as well, plus the whip CB...

They just came out with a new highly detailed 1:18th GL, and they reissued the 1:16th model kit that would likely fit modern figures better. But I plan to customize a lot of the Hazzard car fleet as well.
