Acid Rain style heavy weapons

I've been coming across heavy weapons that would look pretty good with Acid Rain stuff.

MSG Heavy weapon unit 8 Sentry gun

1/144 HG Build Fighters Giant Gatling

The gatling gun is about 4.75 " long

The Terminator Salvation T-1 could fit in pretty good as well.

I think I want to see less mini guns being used. It's becoming overused in military and science fiction. Something like a Bushmaster II mounted on a drone could be interesting.

It's to make up for the limited actual use they get in the real world military.

Are they really underused in real world? I would have thought they would be an exceptional medium for putting a large amount of suppressive firepower. I suppose they require a lot of restraint by the user not to waste a ton of ammo however.

The issue is generally hauling enough ammo to make it a worthwhile venture. Most of your aircraft cannons are rotary, and they get use in helicopter door guns, but you don't see them a lot on the ground. Exceptions abound, though.

The type of smart ammo a bushmaster can put in the air kicks the mini guns quantity to the curb. You can't hide from it.

Yeah, the 30MM+ smart rounds are scary.
