Data-Viper in IDW comic

I thought some of you might find this a little interesting.

In the first issue of the Danger Girl/Joe crossover, there's a "blink-and-you-miss-it" reference to the elusive Data-Viper:

They're not mentioned again, and the comic on the whole isn't very good, so it's not worth hunting down an issue to check it out. But I did think that it was an interesting Easter Egg for IDW to throw in there.

I saw that the other day when I read it. Cool to see a nod to the figure. It was a short cameo but one either way.

I am not a fan of the art though. Way too much emphasis on some features. Just looks silly.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of Royle's work. Reminds me of some stylized '90s art. Very angular and disproportionate. It can add a light-hearted feel, which might work for the Danger Girl aspect of it, but just looks off for the Joe side, especially since IDW otherwise has better-than-average artists working on their Joe books.

Yea, the scene where the 3 broads are in the quarters talking has about 1/3 of the page taken up by tits. Nothing wrong with it but it just looks crappy. Especially with a size -2 waist. Just a tad too animated for me. I'm actually getting to enjoy The Strain lately. Interesting lil' vampire series.
