I've been working on these models for about two weeks now, they're all in various stages of work. They're Alt-WWII models from Paolo Parente's Dust world- specifically meant for the Dust:Tactics board game from Fantasy Flight. Some of the cooler stuff includes walking tanks, Nazi Zombies and Nazi Gorillas.

All models are approximately 1:48 scale/28mm. I also plan on working up some "regular" vehicles like Shermans, Tigers and the like.

The last pic is of a Sgt Rock that's approximately the same size as the Dust models. I'll be incorporating him and a Stuart tank (Jeb Stuart Smith's Haunted Tank) once I finish Rock, and when I find a suitable 1/48 Stuart.

They did a few 1/6th pieces. I do like that the choices of 1/48 aircraft are unlimited. And there are a lot of different 28mm figures that will work as well. I haven't played the game yet so we'll see how that goes.

I flirted with getting the evil Nazi bitch for a while a long time ago.

Lol. The 28mm version is on my workbench. Haven't decided what colors she's getting yet. She's sported both a black and red leather jump-suit in the comics. I'd like to do something a bit different. Maybe throw some green in there? Maybe an Afrika Korps color scheme?

If she has those tropical high boots she'd look awesome in a DAK uniform.

I don't think these are lace-up. In fact, I think she's got a fur collar. Probably likely, given she appears on the Eastern Front in the comics.

I'm thinking of trying to graft a set of tropicals onto a set of Joe knees.

And just got this one in the mail... It's a Sino-Soviet Union Mil-47 attack helicoper... think of a squished HIND... I think it's pretty neat. Looking for some camo suggestions (KT!)

it's a neat little model.. a little bit fragile... i've dropped it twice already.

i didn't initially thought i wouldn't like it... but its really grown on me. i also wasn't planning on getting any of the SSU models, but this one was too cool to pass up. There's also a transport helo and a vehicle carrier that are tempting.... i'm glad these are small models, or else my little apartment would be covered in these.

What's the name of the transport helo?...I have no desire to collect theses, (I have enough collectables) but they are bada$$ looking so I love checking out the crazy cool designs they tend to have...

I would so buy that fucking thing in 1:18.

(digs out Aug '86 issue of Gung-Ho) I'm partial to Soviet desert (tan with brown or khaki/olive disruptive patern, sky blue undercarriage)

If you wanted to keep in WWII, you can't go wrong with a basic green and brown scheme, grey undercarriage. That's what your predominate Soviet scheme was, with some single color green ones.

White with red accents would be interesting, too!

Do an image search on the Ka-27 or 32, could be some ideas there.

thanks KT- I knew you'd have a start. I'm thinking I want to do a camo job on it, since it is a bit different from the Allied and Axis stuff I already have.

The Russians had some really eye-catching ones in the Cold War era. And there were a lot of users of the Hind, so you don't have to limit it to them. Hell, the Chinese might have some interesting camo to try out.

Someone should tell that site that 5 men does not a squad make. :/

They do, they do.

Can't wait to see it painted. Wonder if there is some Dragon Ball/DBZ Capsule Corp. vehicle that might be converted to something similar for Joe use. Just as a light observation platform.

it will be a little bit before i get to that oner- there's a very large backlog of stuff that needs to get finished first.

Finished these two a ways back, but forgot to post them: MSgt Rock and Joe Bazooka...

The guy on the right...does he have a forearm replaced with a weapon?!...or is that just the angle and he's just holding something?

Since I was home today, I had some time to work on some models. First up is a Ruskie Walker. This one is still under construction, for the most part. I've had a hell of a time getting it base coated.
