Check out samofptr on Shapeways. The designs look strikingly similar to what Live Resin offers in 1:35 and 1:16 but they're 1:24, 1:35, 1:18, and 1:16 on Shapeways. Very pricey but you can't knock the attention to detail. I haven't ordered from Shapeways in a long time, so I wonder if the pieces are better quality nowadays.

Well, here ya go: From Armorama.

I'm sure most of you are aware of the 3D rapid prototyping technique which is revolutionizing model making business. Samofalov prototyping models is a new company utilizing this technique to produce various updates for 1/35 scale Humvees, with an idea to expand the portfolio to other vehicles in other scales.
The creative force behind SPM is Peter Samofalov, author of many products released under Live Resin label, including all the figures and Secutor robot. Peter started his own business and currently offers 3D printed models, available from Shapeways

Pricey indeed. $26 for ONE rifle?!

:crying: Exactly, but it is Frosted Extreme Detail. I've purchased Frosted Ultra Detail and it was hit and miss on good to excellent quality. Frosted Extreme Detail costs more so I'd assume that it's higher quality than the Frosted Ultra Detail.

I've actually had much better luck with ultra detail more than extreme detail when it comes to small details at the 1:18th scale.

I wish they'd offer perfactory printer in ceramic resin. But then the price might double what it is now.

So who's actually gonna buy any of it and turn it into something useful?

You get a printed model of the file. Shapeways will print the file and then send you the print.

I'm skeptical because of the detailed stuff I've made with intricate details have arrived broken.

They say that the FXD is stronger than the FUD.

You need to get all of the stuff you've made (and will make), cast and in your store. :salute:

Then there's the fairly good chance Shapeways will tell you they can't print a model after you order it.

We're still a generation or two from this being a practical tool for customizing. But, oh, when that day comes.

Pfft, you'll download the model and print it yourself. No more waiting or disappointment.

He has to really be jacking up the prices. The guns I've printed in that material were never more than a few bucks.

I'd like to see all of his models offered in 1:18 but I doubt it's possible in FXD because of the size and cost. Look at what it costs for a 1/18 BRDM-2 ARMOURED PATROL CAR in the white and strong plastic. Eek!

That is a good tutorial. I've seen that and the video too. [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVYnbsnoB3Q&feature=youtu.be"]video[/ame]

I don't think I'll ever get the funding for production like the first set. So I am in the proccess of casting some of the weapons for now.

Have you ever thought about getting it funded without kickstarter? You should have a ton of contacts now to reach out to on your own. If you ever take a trip to Chicago, stop by and I'll give you a hand.
