I know some here hate the silliness of some of the GI Joe stuff, but just wanted to spread the word for my close friend. He's an aspiring writer, college English professor and lover of all things GI Joe. He does plenty of reviews for various companies and websites for books and comics and when Amazon announced they were adding GI Joe to their Amazon Worlds, he jumped on it.

So far I'm on chapter 3 and I love it. It starts off like old school Joes in Vietnam, something that I thought was going to throw me off, but so far, so good. Give it a try if you grew up with Joes. You can even download a sample(at least I could) to try it out and see if you like it.

4) All entries must be received by midnight (central time) of September 30th.
5) The winner will either be selected by a fan poll or judged by me.
6) The prize will be a blank body figure from Boss Fight. Because Boss Fight will not be shipping their product until February, the winner will not have the prize mailed until after that time.

I am pleased to share a lot of exciting news regarding this contest. First of all, a number of new prizes have been made available. Robert Atkins, the talented and brilliant G.I. Joe artist, has agreed to donate art and signed prints as prizes. I'd like to send a very special thanks to Mr. Atkins for his generous support. Next, Big Bad Toy Store has agreed to donate a $40 gift certificate to add to the prizes as well. This may go to the winner or get split up among winners. I will post details about how all of the prizes get distributed after another bit of news is made official next week.
Another donor has agreed to donate a Logan "Command Ops" figure from Marauder Task Force Gaming. Like the Boss Fight figure, this will not be sent out until Marauder mails their product out to the people who supported their Kickstarter campaign. The fourth bit of news must remain somewhat obscure as of this posting, but I can say that another group has agreed not only to donate yet another prize but also to send out incentives for people who have made a commitment to participating in the contest. I can't say more until I have the items in hand, but these will appeal to customizers a great deal. These incentives will be limited in number and will only be made available to people who demonstrate a commitment to the custom contest (those seeking the incentive will be asked a question from the book to demonstrate that they have purchased it). All told, we now have a Boss Fight blank body, Robert Atkins art, a Big Bad Toy Store gift certificate, a Marauder Logan "Command Ops" figure, and a mystery prize to be announced in the future (probably next week) as prizes for this contest, as well as incentives to mail out for people who are committed to entering the contest. Thanks to The AngelForge, we now have 15 sets of custom grab bag parts to distribute to people who are committed to entering the contest. Each grab bag includes 5 heads). One grab bag each will be given to the first 15 people who contact me and indicate that they are entering the contest. Participants will be asked a question about the novel to verify that the book has been purchased. Grab bags will be chosen at random and mailed to the participants. AngelForge has also added a prize pack to the prize pool (which also includes Robert Atkins artwork, a BBTS gift certificate, a Boss Fight blank body, and a Marauder action figure).

No. 77 on the top 100 best selling Kindle Worlds books on 7/7. Not bad for 5 days. So far I'm close to halfway through it and I'm digging it.

That's easy, there are apps for smartphones to read on and there are free readers available on amazon.com for PCs

I just came here to bump this up, lol. Last chance to enter... ends at midnight tonight (central time ), so far only one entry and if he's the only one, he's walking away with a ton of goodies. If anyone read the book that's reading, if you have any original Joes on the back burner, almost finished( that havent been shown before), finish them up you got 9 hours. Other character that would work, Cobra Commander w/ prototype helmet, regular CC, Destro, Baroness, Maj. BLOOD, Stormshadow, Zartan, Firefly, Oct Guard, black ops Russia insertion scarlett with short black hair disguise. That's all I can think of right now without giving away the whole book, lol.
