I ended up with two of these suckers, and I got them for custom potential... Why, I'll never know, but I hope that one day they pan out.
I honestly can't stand the figure, but for some reason, there's something about it I like... Maybe it's the idea of the figure. I dunno, it doesn't make sense to me, so don't worry if it doesn't make sense to you.
I feel like there may have been about 13 people in all of the Earth who gave a shit to get a companion to the training SS, which was a figure that we got originally in a 2-pack that most people would've passed on had it not had Tunnel Rat in it. I ended up turning him into a custom Zandar, so that fodder turned out into my favor... But otherwise, I had no need for that SS. And likewise, no need for this SE, either.
The half-masked head sculpt is cool, and we finally got the Slice/Dice heads that were supposed to be released years ago with the training SE. But for a collector-geared line like POC, why in shit's name did we get another needless SE repaint when we could've gotten either Slice or Dice, proper? I still don't see the need for the endless sea of the "core characters" in every wave but I'll buy the bullshit retailer excuse, as it's dumb enough to make sense, knowing how retailers think... But the deco could've been Slice or Dice, with the proper paintjob, and still billed as SE, and more people would've warmed up to this figure.
I don't think he's necessarily bad, just waaaaay too little, waaaaaay too late. All those intricate paint apps on this figure, yet they shirk color apps elsewhere. I will never understand their priorities, which the efforts were especially wasted on this lackluster repaint.
