You're never gonna see it at all, the project is graveyard dead. Some of the tech was supposedly on the Osamahawk.
It's the Army's fault, though. They kept changing and adding parameters that drove the project well over cost and time constraints.

It's like the Cheyenne, really.

Yep, just found that. Gee, wonder where that "technology transfer" went. :)

Both prototype airframes 94-0327, 95-0001, are located at the United States Army Aviation Museum at Fort Rucker, Alabama. Upon program termination airframe 95-0001 was transported from the Sikorsky's facilities in Jupiter, Florida, and placed on prominent display in the museum's main chamber and remained on display for approximately four months. The airframes were then transferred to the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Research Development and Engineering Center at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, and were placed into a technology transfer program. Both Comanche airframes were returned to the U.S. Army Aviation Museum in 2008, and have been placed into storage.

Like i said, we'll see the tech elsewhere, but it won't be on the RAH.

At least it got some action in Operation: Jungle Strike in 1993. Where it proved invaluable in taking down the Madman of the Desert's son Ibn Kilbaba and his nafarious ally Carlos Ortega, who at the time was the biggest drug warlord in South America.

Rest in Piece RAH-64 Comanche, you earned it.

I'd rather have a Ka-50 any day.

The Russians should get in on the 1:18 game.

Just like the YF-23, the technology was "too" good for the light of day and got moved into the dark realms... At least there is a happy ending to this story... (not so much if you are a bad guy) :D

Looking at the vid, the helicopter that comes with the Joe RHINO appears to be based on it. Albiet a midget outta proportion version but has the right shape to it

It's the Army's fault, though. They kept changing and adding parameters that drove the project well over cost and time constraints.

The whole military procurement system is tainted crap. The Comanche, CSAR, JLTV, new AF refueler, the ARH, mini-gunship(Stinger II).....I could go on for awhile. They add more and more ridiculous reqs that the airframe or project as a whole was never intended to do. Because some fat @ss congressman wants it to have a microwave inside or be able to snorkel thru an ocean because his state or town makes the parts for it. It's a big corrupted POS.

What they should do is ask the soldiers what they want/need to get the job done. Then ask them what they think they could improve on. What would YOU like to see on/in it? Not what some dumb shit sitting behind a desk that'll never see a day in the shit.
