Here is a commission I have been working on. He wanted a SOF figure similar to my Grinch figure. Thought I would share the finished figure, since I had shown him "On The Work Bench" thread. I did a few things different like painting the body of the combat shirt sand instead of green. I also used a different base coat color for the camo. Thanks for looking.

Parts Recipe:

Head: DG Duke
Torso: 50th Cobra Trooper
Arms: 50th Cobra Trooper
Upper Legs: 50th Cobra Trooper
Lower Legs: DG Shipwreck
Feet: DG Shipwreck

Weapons/Sling: Mauraders/Hockey tape
Helmet/NVG: Ret Mouse/BBI
Vest: Nightfox

Looks good, nice paint job. But arn't the upper trooper legs the same as DG Shipwreck, except for the holster?

Yeah, you are right, they are the same. Shipwreck's right leg doesn't have a holster.

Thanks for the comments, guys.

Looks really good man! Those little things like the holsters, and webgear used to drive me absolutely nuts! I hate buying figures for one little part. I ended up casting that holster&sidearm,as well as several others. Idk why hasbro doesn't sell that stuff separate? Oh well, fuck em'

Thanks for the comments. I really need to learn how to cast those night fox vests, they are great for customs.

I've cast the shocktrooper vest, and have a nightfox vest in my fodder box. Placement is the most important to keep the cuts down to a minimum. I hooked up the sprue on the loop behind the neck, and tilted the vest slightly, and it's turned about 70° in the mold..so on opening, the neck&one arm hole is on one side, the other arm&loop on the other wall. Lately I've been into sculpt detail, and relying on the actual torso,so I haven't been doing a lot of webgear, cause I just haven't been using it.

Another way to keep it simple it get small pieces of tape, and tape off the arm&neck holes from the inside, make your mold, and pull it out, when you cast them there'll be a thin piece like flash where the tape was,and you can just trim it off with your hobby knife.
