X Review: Avengers Assemble Red Skull

As I said in the intro, this is the same figure as the Cap. movie version, with a few paint and mold changes. This one is molded in a darker, charcoal gray (though the boots ARE black), with green and gold accents. I think I prefer this paint job to the first version, as it certainly helps to evoke a darker, more menacing Red Skull, which I think he should be.

The paint is applied pretty well, though I’ve seen some in the wild that were just plain sloppy.

Red Skull comes with the cap, overcoat, Hydra soldier weapon, and a pair of flame blast launching effects. I’m not sure where the COSMIC STRIKE fits in here, unless it’s supposed to be some kind of cosmic cannon. And in that case, are those COSMIC flames instead?

Not terrible choices, but I think they could have done a little better.
