The Fighting 1:18th! The best Military 1:18 scale site on the net!
First off, Improbable, but so was the first. But, this does not mean the movie is not fun. Just like the first, we see the invasion from the perspective of a small town. Only this time around we get to see most of the fighting in urban settings instead of rural. This made for some fantastic scenes. The basic story is the same but they do provide us with some scenes that I did not see coming to make it fresh. One scene made me move towards the end of my seat in a wow moment. They also kept some scenes from the first that I was very happy to see again, like the deerhunt.
Upsides to the movie, Very good pace, good amount of battle scenes, and a pretty good dialogue.
Downsides to the movie, Josh Peck just doesn’t work well, could have used more heavy armor, and just like the first, I don’t believe most citizens would go quietly.
All in all, I enjoyed this movie. If you want a fun action movie, buy/rent it. If you want a realistic military drama, steer clear. Thanks for reading!
