When people think “diorama piece”, they often picture beautifully-detailed buildings with intricate brickwork, or a carefully-crafted interior set perfect for photo setups. While that is undeniably true, quite often it’s the simplest, most mundane bits that add character and give any diorama that extra “something”.
Forum Officer, staff writer and diorama builder Meddatron certainly excels at all three of these, with his handcrafted building exteriors and interiors, and with this simple-but-effective little wooden bench he shared with us a couple of years ago.
Being an older post, the photos are on the quick-and-dirty side, but they’re easy to follow and even beginners should have little trouble.
Check out the dead-simple step-by-step tutorial, in Meddatron’s own words, on Page Two.
