Digler’s Custom MULE

Forum member Digler wears many feathers in his cap: customizer, dioramist, scratchbuilder… and with his newest creation he can add “resin caster” to his list of accomplishments.

Digler designed this 1:18 cargo MULE to be easily replicated in resin and eventually sold in kit form, and the finished vehicle is certainly impressive – although it must be said that we expected no less from him.

The MULE (Multi-function Utility/Logistics and Equipment Vehicle) was a 2.5-ton Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) that was developed by Lockheed Martin for the US Army to support dismounted and air assault operations as part of its Future Combat Systems (FCS) program.  The XM1217 transport variant featured here was cancelled in December 2009.
