The cooler and flatscreen are cool, but nothing else does anything for me. The counsels and the like are too SW for my uses.

I tell you what, Rex needs to start selling dio walls on the side. Just the carved bits, let the end-user do the painting.

Gotta' agree with KT on Rex doing walls. He could pump out a bunch and let people do the rest. His company could be GayerDesignStudios.

If that dumpster wasn't so much of a pain it would be a great seller too. Maybe just build some kits for people to put together or just sell the instructions.

not to take away from MRs homo building business, but, the walls are so ridiculously easy to make its silly...at least the brick ones...the stone jungle one looks like it took more skill...

the dumpster i agree would be nice in, at the very least, kit form

Yeah, granted you have easy access to material.

I don't, and i don't mind throwing a little cash his way if all i have to do is paint the goddamn things.

Dang, Medd, those are some killer links. Prices are decent too, compared to the absurd eBay pricing on similar items.

I have been looking at eBay to find some bits here and there, but the sellers should be slapped for the prices they ask. $10 for a can of paint? It's ridiculous, but I guess they're making money off some poor saps.

I love Marauders, but they just don't have everything. Thanks for the links.

Haha, thanks guys. Also, thanks for the company name, Blood.

To be honest, I'd love to sell the damn things, but it's just so time-consuming and I've got no room to store all the material. Just having those big-ass pink foam boards stored somewhere is a space issue for me right now.

I'm sure I'll eventually "cycle through" some of the older walls once I've shot enough with them, but that'll take awhile before I get there, considering I've really only shot one dio so far. When/if it comes to that, I'll post them here first, though.

As to the brick walls, yep, exactly what Eddie said. It's pretty easy to make the things, if you're doing one or 2 for yourself (and if you can get ahold of the material, too)... But mass-producing them would be kind of tedious, especially the brick walls. To be honest, doing the jungle walls took about 1/3 the time as one of those longer brick walls. More "battle-damaged" or freehand walls are much easier than the tiny bricks, which are mind-numbingly tedious to do if you don't have windows or doors to break up the wall. Getting the pattern to repeat geometrically is much tougher than something that's less structured.

If I could make a kit that could be cast somehow, I'd happily make the dumpster, too, but I think it'd be too cumbersome to cast without making it more modular with pegs and whatnot so that it could be cast in sections and assembled.

I'm actually surprised that SDS is making those consoles for as "cheap" as they're selling them. I'm buying at least one of each this PO so I can add them into dios, but I am curious to see how they made them for casting. If it wasn't too hard, I may see about making a dumpster kit to send to them.

I'm getting ready to lighten my load, so I want to sell my excess weapons, helmets etc, plenty of good dio/custom fodder so I'll post pics soon and try to sell em here first as to "keep it in the family"

another good spot to get good dio stuff is in craft stores Minature's sections. AC Moore carries Cans of soda/Beer 6 packs for 2 something online, instore its same price for 2 (don't ask me why)But anyway they have great tool sets, bottles, shovels, knives, etc that are just about perfect for 1/18th
http://www.acmoore.com/search.aspx?categoryid=346&showall=false In store has way more stuff than online but is more expensive, But the website always has a 40-50% off coupon for one item instore so always download one of them from site before going.

Timeless Miniatures is the name of the company that makes most of the stuff.

edit - One last one, great background textures. - http://www.mayang.com/textures/

It's cool that people on the internet will cast and mold things like heads compatible with hasbro figures and such, in fact I'd be all over it if they were simply able to make some head sculpts a little cheaper than five dollars. But do you know what I think would be just as cool? If we could find a caster who can make extra hands for gi joes, unimax, and old 21st century toys figures alike. I know I'd love to have a lot of extra hands for my Germans and US marines alike, and a few of my Joes need them too. Helmets and other military hats would be pretty cool too.

Yeah, but who wants to wait a year and still not have product or a refund?

Yea, I like their stuff but honestly won't deal with them anymore. I had to wait a month for "in stock" items so I would never even consider ordering something that needs to be cast. Sucks too because there is nice product but a poor attitude towards people once they are not happy. Kind of like smalljoes.com occasionally.

That sux, I heard he sometimes takes a while, but had no idea he had a bad attitude about it. that blows because i do often look at their stuff and have often thought of buying some stuff. Oh well.

Well if it's in stock you just have to wait but if it needs to be cast it could take a while. He says he's a one man operation so things take time. If you don't mind the wait go for it but if something goes wrong don't expect any professional response for the most part. I've gotten three different reasons why my order took so long before. I could have cared less but just be up front.

Thanks Blood. I will just not order from him. I don't mind waiting when i know it, but in this growing hobby, there is no room for a bad attitude. That really turns me off, This hobby makes me too happy to have one individual give me a bad taste in my mouth. it's all about the fun and nostalgia for me.

The last time I ordered from Broken Arrow my order actually got lost in the mail (not his fault) but it eventually showed up. He was actually cool about it and told me if it didn't show up, that it eventually would. But from point of order to getting product (not counting the week the Post Office had it floating around somewhere in an alternate universe or whatever) it was at least 2 months. He's normally up front about it, but from people's feedback lately, I would definitely avoid any orders over $30.

To tell the truth though, my last order from Slayer didn't show up before I left town, and although it may show up, this has been a weird time for them and I got no replies to their emails. So even the "best" shops sometimes falter.

The thing that Alyosha can do that not even SDS has been able to muster, is casting flexible webgear. Also, his quality control is top notch and he can cast things that nobody else can do, and I've never had to so much as mod anything he's cast, besides painting it. But with recent feedback reactions, I'm a bit disappointed in his reactions.

SDS has hands that they're casting, like fists, open hands, etc. I know their preorder system takes awhile, but they're the most predictable in their timing (except for my last wait that may or may not have arrived since I left for vacation).

nother thing i wish they'd do is cast the skin tone parts in the actual color of the figure its most likely to go onto...i've gotten a black plastic cast before...thats just dumb...i have to paint skin tone over black?...c'mon now

I think they have to custom mix the color for "flesh" so they limit their time and just cast in basic colors like gray, black, brown, or white, but I agree, it's annoying. But Hasbro does the same thing. A figure may have some random yellow or red plastic underneath the head. Doesn't make sense, considering that the quality suffers sometimes because of it.

this is true. Didn't hear that they were making an mp40 a while back?

Yeah, it's scheduled for wave 6.

It's not gonna be better than Dragon's so i don't give a shit. I just as soon use StGs for fantasy Germans, and it's not like any one going for accuracy is gonna need a huge number of 40s, them being 1-2 to a squad at most.

they probably should have went with making the stg, but either way it will make good for my neo Nazi terrorists and wannabe hydra servants, provided they don't cost a freaking dollar a piece.
