So I've done a bunch of other HMMWV models, and during research I saw a photo of a "spec ops" type HMMWV and knew I wanted to make it, but I knew it'd be a LOT of work, so I started last weekend and finally finished..

Here is my M1025 "Special Operations" HMMWV.

It is based on the 21st Century Toys M1025 "TOW" HMMWV.

Here is what it started off looking like:

I did the following modifications:

* Everything? Haha
* Replaced TOW launcher/mount with M2 .50 cal mount/storage.
* Removed all the doors, windows and back hatch.
* Added stowage-netting to back doors and back gate-area.
* Added movable M249 SAW mount/gun on back bed.
* Added passenger M60 mount/gun.
* Added SATCOM antenna.
* Added Laptop & 2nd radio to interior.
* Added a BUNCH of interior stowage. (MRE's, Watercans, Packs, Bedding, etc)
* Added fabric camo rolls/sand protection.
* Added push bar to front.
* Added outside stowage (packs, rope, gear, etc).
* Pained camo/weathered/dirtied it up inside and out.

This is what I ended up with!

This was based on this photo:

More pictures below. Thanks for reading, comments + critiques welcomed.. it's how I get better!!

Hey, it works fine. Only thing i'd do is find/make a pintle mount.

Masking tape! That's for the professionals... Mine is cut strips from a CORPS parachute thing.. It's all I could find lol. I cut them various lengths so it would appear to hang more realistic :)

What's a pintle mount look like?

It's a bit wide for the Unimax 50, but you can probably pin it all together if you have a small enough drill bit.

Sexy as hell! The difference between the before-and-after pics is like night and day. The camo turned out especially good. Now that you've raised the bar so high, you gotta do that for your team's BDUs...

I'm the Ivan Drago of HMMWVs! I will BREAK THEM! (and then put them back together better than before!).

I think I have two M1025 TOW's left, one M998 soft top and one M998 hard top left that are opened already and asking for customs..

I'm running out of space though!

Drill.. I wish. I have like an exacto knife and some pliers.. Think of the customs I could make with tools!!

I think this might be my last one for a while.. That's why I went all out

Calee-fornee-uh has Harbor Freight or Northern Tool stores, don't they?

Get you a little finger or hand drill set and a cheap-o one-speed rotary tool.

He doesn't even have to shell out for a dremel if he gets a cheap one.

You get a rotary with the round cutting bit and there's no head you can't fit to a Joe body.

It'll also open up using SW lower legs with Joe uppers.

21st Century by far (I think) its what I use for my customs. The BBI ones dont come with 'glass' windows (they are open) and overall seem a lot more toylike.

I have a Maisto diecast one coming to check it out though.

def C21...i have a Maisto one and its nice, but its diecast...not much room for modding there...and the interior is VERY figure unfriendly

Well to be honest i never really cared about modern vehicles, as you can tell i don't know one from the other,BUT after seeing yours, It really caught my eye, Which aint a easy thing to do, but it did....Now i gotta get a couple, do tons and hours of research, and do a custom for my website......see what you got started.
