As much as I thought the Joe SnowCat haslab was sub-par, the SW brand team seems to find new ways to plumb the depths of failure. That oversized gunship haslab (for the low low price of *only* $450 plus tax) is not even halfway to funding with 10 days to go. I think it's fair to say that it's unlikely to make it, and they certainly aren't unlocking any of the tiered figures.
I don't collect anything from the prequel era (blech), but this is showing that the SW problem isn't just related to Black Series or LBGTQXYZ D+ shows ( ...and Mark Hamill morphing into Rob Reiner isn't helping my love of the property either. What a woke douchebag MH has become). I think the entire franchise is in the tank.
I've got a few rando TVC items on PO, but they clearly can't get any momentum in any clear direction. They've splintered the fandom so broadly that nothing can get a critical mass of support. Classic era people don't want the same thing as prequel fans, or the sequel fans, or the animated fans, or the D+ fans (all 23 of them). The property is almost unmanageable in the sense that nothing's going to stick with enough people to sustain anything. At this point, I'm not sure it isn't time for hasbro to let it go, let the license be dormant for a while.
