Anybody still collecting SW on here?

Behind a camera watching you!
I was tempted by the Ghost but there are so many things I’d rather do.

Almost pulled the trigger on the 3D Hole in the Ground cantina. Kind of glad I didn’t but I am waiting to see what Hasbro does. As I almost smacked a few boards together over the last year thinking Hasbro will never deliver?

So May the 4th be with you.
Cause apparently not many people actually got what they tried to order. 🤷‍♂️
Really? What were the hot items?

I only ordered TVC stuff from the OT... cantina set, sand/snow/scout trooper set, new ANH Obi-Wan, and the ANH Stormtrooper with a different cardback (still has the same VC231 number, but the card is different.... WTF Mattel!)

Not sure what was the inspiration for the cantina set colors, comics maybe? They're very saturated and very different than the regular decos (by design, I'm sure), but I just don't know what source they're pulling from. I would have skipped them, but the "normal" TVC Hammerhead is a $25 "deluxe" (no thanks), and that Greedo with non-T-crotch was too good to pass up.

I love that 4" SW figures are finally catching up to... *checks notes*... 1982 with many of them getting non-T-crotch hips. While I don't really care when it comes to third-cantina-alien-from-the-left, the main characters need the extra articulation, and we're sloooooooooly getting better versions of each. Maybe I'll have a set worth playing with before I shed this mortal coil.

Pulse went live for everyone before they were supposed to.
Disney was the usual mess at the same time.
A lot of things were ordered then canceled.

& everyone thinks any new stock will be after a cer tariff cut off date.

Chewy is *ok*... I mean, he looks about like every TVC Chewy I already own.

Han on the other hand look abysmal. WTH are they thinking?!

And another Haslab of the same vehicle?! Are they insane? How many people got the first one are going to pony up for another? How many people skipped the first one and are dying for one now, years after the show has cooled off?

As much crap as I give the Joe brand team on occasion, the SW team plumbs the depths of mismanagement regularly.

The version I actually wanted I passed on when it was $40
So I just didn’t see myself getting this.

But I do have a group of grey padded clones that would look great if anyone reading this is interested in taking them off my hands.

Are the TVC Han and Chewie 3" sized? I'm actually likely to end up with the soon to arrive latest Black Series Han & Chewie. I'm mildly regretting not picking up the previous versions I saw at Ollie's a while back. They are too iconic not to have on my shelf at work with Captain America, Spider-Man and the Mandalorian.

TVC are all nominally 4"

As much as I thought the Joe SnowCat haslab was sub-par, the SW brand team seems to find new ways to plumb the depths of failure. That oversized gunship haslab (for the low low price of *only* $450 plus tax) is not even halfway to funding with 10 days to go. I think it's fair to say that it's unlikely to make it, and they certainly aren't unlocking any of the tiered figures.

I don't collect anything from the prequel era (blech), but this is showing that the SW problem isn't just related to Black Series or LBGTQXYZ D+ shows ( ...and Mark Hamill morphing into Rob Reiner isn't helping my love of the property either. What a woke douchebag MH has become). I think the entire franchise is in the tank.

I've got a few rando TVC items on PO, but they clearly can't get any momentum in any clear direction. They've splintered the fandom so broadly that nothing can get a critical mass of support. Classic era people don't want the same thing as prequel fans, or the sequel fans, or the animated fans, or the D+ fans (all 23 of them). The property is almost unmanageable in the sense that nothing's going to stick with enough people to sustain anything. At this point, I'm not sure it isn't time for hasbro to let it go, let the license be dormant for a while.

Yeah, as a casual, I can assure you that the SW franchise as a whole, minus the Mando (though not everyone was ok with the latest season, thanks to mishandling there as well), has all but lost its intrinsic appeal. I‘m not at all surprised they can’t support an overpriced Haslab. Yeesh, talk about botching what should be a slam dunk…

Lol, I wouldn’t have guessed either. Maybe they added in all the “ foreign buyers“ on the same day again. On the bright side, this Haslab makes the Snow Cat look like a downright bargain.

Huh, I wonder though (again, not a SW collector), does that obscure alien Jedi guy really sweeten the pot that much? Could just be more "foreign" backers that, for whatever reason, they have to add manually... in 2025...

Maybe they'll update their tech when the get to Bahsten.
