This is a pretty plain question, but are you excited for Retaliation? Movie wise? Toy wise? Etc.



For me, I could give two shits about the film honestly. But, figure wise I'm ecstatic. Despite the moderate level of shit in the first couple waves, there looks to be some fantastic stuff waiting to be released. That 3 Pack Firefly is the answer to my prayers, the Night Vipers look bad ass, and those new Urban camo'd guys are awesome! Then throw in those Joe Troopers, the other Road Block, and that updated Duke. I'm seeing quite a bit of buying potential.

The film looks a lot better than ROC, & the delay has more to do with issues that have nothing to do with GI Joe & everything to do with paramount.

But yeah, there's a couple of cool figures coming down the line in future waves that I'm looking forward to getting.

im not either for the film but do have hopes for it to be better then the first. as for toys there is like 3 i want the rest can be tossed in the trash. hasbro had/has a great chance to bring joe back in to the main stream but they killed that with the lack luster crappy figs for the majority of the line. they wanted to save money but yet are charging 10bucks a fig for figs that arnt worth a buck cuse of the crappy articulation on most of them and how 90% of the toys look nothing like the movie.

I am anxious to see how the movie turns out...could be too many ninjas but looks like it could have a high level of action. As for the toys, there are a bunch of figs that will serve as the base for customs (ultimate Snake eyes body), the ultimate Duke has a pretty sweet camo paint app along with the accessories. Throw in the movie accurate cobra camo trooper and there's a bunch of potential. Not to mention John McClane.

I was pretty excited for the movie before the delay. RoC was complete trash and the new movie looked a million times better. Honestly the delay has completely killed all my interest in it. I juts don't even care now.

As for the Toys, I'm slightly interested in a handful of them but again the delay has killed my interest. I'm more interested in what the line will be after the movie line.

I'll go see the film. Looks better than the 1st one (and I didn't mind that one, better than the last 2 transformers films).

The figures, apart from the remaining ones (like flint and the 1st Firefly or that 2nd) all look to have all the articulation (give or take pivoting hands). Plus I like the Ninja molds (Jinx, Blackdragon ninja, Blind Master). Shit I even want a few of that ulitmate Duke (the helmet stays on) the movie trooper, that Night landing craft... not to mention the Night-Viper.

If I as an ARAH FAG I'd want one but I'm over the old school stuff. I have different tastes now. Plus, shit will be so long since the last time product was out I'll all but care that it's in stores. When it kept flowing I at least wanted to look for it. Now, not so much.

The concept doesn't work for me in ME. I dug the hell out of the ARAH one, but the design just hasn't translated well IMO. The giant monocle is waaaaay dated.


Plus I'm parting ways with all the super-specialized MOS vipers. Gonna have my Joes fightin' and killin' real-world OpFor instead of an endless "war" with the used car salesman.

I already got the ones I wanted from the early waves minus John McClane, and besides a few movie figs here and there, I'm only interested in the typical ARAH FAGgotry of the later waves that we'll never see. I actually only want the Night-Viper x3 and that amazing Firefly. I got my fill of wonky-legged CGs in the 25th. When we get CG Immortals with maybe an alternate helmet of that retooled CG helmet mold, then Hasbro and I will talk.

At first I had zero interest in a sequel...thought it would never see the light of day...expected to be equally or worse than the first...then I started seeing things that would change my mind, and I kinda started to get my hopes up and get excited....then the delay for two of the worst possible things...more Taintum and 3D...now I'll wait till its on FX....


I'll get the couple the ARAH fag in me will allow

I think the new one looks a lot better.

I was perfectly happy with the original 25th CG helmet (I prefer the removable "Fred" version, but the CG was not really a big one I wanted to see redone) but the legs bug me the most. I hate those Snake Eyes legs almost as much though... :-\

I just wish they'd gone with something less complicated. Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike the new one... It's another great variant on the CG... But I would've rather had them waste a new helmet mold on the CG Immortal instead.

The 25th blueshirt Trooper was from the original 5-packs back in 2007 and needed reworking. The 30th redo is simply amazing in comparison. Hell, even the Viper needed redone. I just feel like the CG was pretty solid except for the upper legs the first time around.

That CG uniform just doesn't look good at all to me. The first looked worse but they've completely failed on this one.
