Do the packs fit? From my understanding they aren't the standard hole in the back pegs

You'll have to modify the pack to fit the Joe peg hole, generally by adding a peg.

I don't think it is either From what I am visualizing if their is no peg in the back pack I have to find a little piece of something to glue in there and even if I do glue it on there, their is no guarantee the sumb--ch is going to stay on.

Forgive me I am a complete newb.

Some of the backpacks have a rubber band that makes them 100% compatible with any Joe.

Yeah, ts works well too...or, if the figure has a removable harness on, glue it to that and the pack can still be removed...
