I was getting some scuba gear on my ROC Ship Wreck figure today, which I hardly ever mess with, when his right leg suddenly went limp and was bound to the will of gravity, thus making it impossible for him to stand up very well. Then I remembered that I have several figures that suffer the same syndrome. What causes this and how so I fix it?

As for what causes it...screw comes loose? Fricition disc falls out of place?

My bet would be the rubber disc was probably mishapen to begin with (squished from not being installed correctly), and it shifted when you moved it. I've seen this way too many times when leg swapping.

Take the leg apart and verify the condition of the disc, replace if needed.

I agree...or it was missing completely! I make my own out of pieces of those wide flat rubber bands...

It's fairly common on ME figures. I just take the leg apart and use a small piece of tissue or paper towel and then it's better than new.

I've often flipped the rubber disc or even doubled them up...

Just open a few Joe legs and you'll eventually come across one to see what we're talking about

It's a small concave rubber disc that sits opposite the T-bar inside the upper leg on 25th and ME figures.

I've reached a point where I automaticly glue the little buggers in place.

These figures are more complicated than I thought they were.

Having actually tried it I don't think there is, as currently designed.

Maybe not on the chick figures, but I don't see how a properly manufactured hole/post/screw wouldn't fit between the shoulder pegs and above the waist peg...on most of the figures ie opened, it's just dead space

The heads and faces are plastic. Meant for using on stuff you'd rather not mar.
