Aren't they all basically continuations of each other though?

Yes, technically, I guess. But I mean in the sense of LOTR or Pirates of the Caribbean 2-3, and Matrix 2-3, how the story is literally broken between films without working as a self-contained film. There's no resolution which drives me nuts. LOTR and the Hobbit films handled it a little bit better, but the Matrix and Pirates films neither made any sense without having to see both films. Same shit with Kill Bill. I fucking hate that. The only time I've remotely liked the movie when they did that was BTTF2/3, since the first film established the "To be continued" ending. It's part of the reason I hated Quantum of Solace, because while Casino Royale exists on its own, QoS picks up the second CR left off, more or less.

I guess I don't/won't mind so much since it'll be two stories written to be one cut up one...I dislike when it should be one movie but they split it up for the extra buck...it ends up making it seem like one movie that's gone on way too long...

But I get what you're say'n...the long wait to pick up on the loose threads sucks balls, especially when it's mutable years between parts...its bad enough between TV show seasons when one ends cliffhanger-y...

With all the movies Sony has planned so far...no. And there's no chance at 'sharing' him either. IF it's going to happen, it won't be until after 2020 easy.

That would indeed be awesome, but as much as the movies get trashed, they still make Sony a ton of money. I'm with dd, I don't see it happening...

Much like the Transformers movies. They may be junk, but they make money.

I don't see a real cross over happening, unless they get Tobey Maguire back.

Spiderman, has retired & settled down. But tragedy has befallen his family. Now the spider is back & justice will be his! (also featuring the avengers, Wolerine, Deathlok, Thanos, GOTG, agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. & Stan Lee as the watcher)

Meh, he was pretty cut for the Spiderman flicks, and I'd take him over skinny emo Spidey any day. But yeah, even though they've sucked pretty much since Spidey 3, they are definite cash cows for Sony.

To me, Spidey is more wiry than cut.....like a male gymnast....you know, one of Eddie's pals.

Same. I mean, at least his costume fit him. New Peters costume is all loose and flappy and baggy. Not a fan.

I can't stand Tobey Maguire. He was tolerable, but I think Andrew Garfield makes a fantastic Spiderman/Peter Parker. He's such a smartass. Tobey's too golly-shucks to me.

I don't think either of them really works as Peter, but Andrew Garfield makes a far better Spider-Man, in my opinion. A lot of that has to do with the writing, though - he gets the wisecracking aspect that was missing from the Tobey Maguire version, and that's a big element of the character for me.

Garfield has the body type. Maguire was waaaay too angsty for the role.

I don't care how they do it, I want them to have their properties back too. Sony and Fox just can't get it quite right.

I was reading about a possible Spiderman Marvel Universe crossover.

Then it hit me the easiest & likely way they could do it without dragging in everything you didn't like about the Spider man movies.

Doesn't Thanos have a glove that basically let's him do anything including crossing over dimensions. (Fning with space & Time) (Or Dr Strange may play some part into it.) Basically Thanos can bring in some baddy from a parallel universe, with Spiderman in tow. :)

I do too, but that's childish what Marvel is pulling. Fox only has a 50% batting average with the X-franchise, but I'd rather see the films stop for a few years and revert to Marvel, even though I've enjoyed at least half of Fox's efforts. Same with Sony's Spidey series. There was no need for a reboot, and ASM2 was dreadfully bad. Garfield was the only saving grace of that film.

New CAPTAIN AMERICA 3 And AVENGERS 3 Details; Plus Major AGE OF ULTRON Spoilers!

As for Age of Ultron, there will apparently be lots of destruction and a huge fallout.

Toooootal shocker! A summer blockbuster film with the total annihilation of a city(s)?! Never woulda saw that coming! :whatever:

I'm just hoping they don't escalate things too much and paint themselves into a corner they can't recover from... It's never fun with dead heroes.

A completely new team in A3 and A4 sounds a tad lame, personally.

It's like a reboot without being a reboot. Kinda clever, if it works for them. If they sprinkle new heroes in before hand, I think it'll pan out just fine for them. Not that I want that, but I think they'll rake in the $$$$ regardless. GotG was filled with mostly B-list actors AND completely unknown characters to most and it still set records.

I don't see the Civil War story working too well though.

Cap has an entire wing of the Smithsonian dedicated to him and his team.

Tony won't stop telling people he's Iron Man.

And Black Widow pretty much dumped everything Shield was hiding in the way of 'supers' at the end of Cap 2.

That'll be one short movie.

I wonder if the Agents of Shield storyline with the military chasing down ex-shield and hydra agents will become the government chasing down supers too, and that will turn into a variation of the civil war plot.

Yeah, I'm sure, I watched it on repeat the last 15 min, made the end of my shift go by real quick.

And eddie, are you getting an error or is it just a black screen? Might want to check your flash player or try a different browser.
