Modern Leatherneck (Sunbow)

Leatherneck in Sunbow attire. Originally the base uniform was from several different figures and the green matched on all of them so I wasn't going to paint the base. But the figure didn't have thigh straps which I didn't like and there was no figure with matching green that had them. So I had to bite the bullet and paint all the green on the figure. The feet, hands, and head are the only unpainted parts.

Head- 25th Mutt
Body- ROC Heavy Metal (forgot his name?)
Arms- 5-pack Joe Trooper
Upper Legs- comic pack Hawk
Lower Legs- ?
Vest- Scrap-Iron
Hat- Raginspoon cast
Gun- Marauder Inc

There the only arms I had that are 3/4 sleeve and have no gloves. I'm pretty strict about accuracy to the source material.

For posing they certainly suck and I hate them. But visually they're no worse than any other joint.

Falcone - I wasn't knocking the custom in anyway...I have a ton of the slit wrist forearms laying around and hate using them. They don't look bad until the joint starts to bend when try to post them.

I know, it's just unfortunate that the only other figure in the line that has the same type of arms is Mouse.

Dang!...that looks good!...clever use of the SI vest...and the head cap combo looks really good...

Not to beat a dead horse, but yeah, those arms are possibly the ugliest of all...the cut line placement is just dumb...why not down where a hand would plug in?

Very nice! Also, thank you for giving him a 30rd mag in his rifle. So many people "modernize" him and still use the old 20rd mag. Good job!
