I haven't used it because I haven't had time but hlj.com seems to have a lot of cool stuff if you get beyond the preteen bondage statues. I've been wanting to try out those gundam markers forever.

I placed two orders this month from HLJ (one on the 11th, another on the 13th), and both arrived today (24th). Not bad for halfway around the world.

(no bondage statues, just custom robot joints)

Huh? Are you referring to my HLJ delivery times? I didn't make that up. Both my orders took less than two weeks to arrive. But I only ordered stuff that was in stock, no backordered or preordered stuff. I'm very happy with their delivery times.

Yeah, maybe it contained items that they didn't have on-hand, or there was a problem with the payment, or lost in shipping or something else. Very odd.

Well, HLJ is in japan, so all of our orders are "international", unless we have some japanese residents on the boards.

I've experienced customs randomly holding items up to three weeks for whatever purpose, but not having an item after a couple of months seems excessive unless it was a preorder or some such.

Pair SAL shipping with dubious customs practices and you get long waits for packages.

I know I nevere waited more than a week using EMS, but that was before out customs crackdown.

Huhh...I didn't realize hobbylink and HJL were the same thing...learn something new everyday...

I don't know that they are. I know HLJ has a lot more scratch-building stuff like styrene, polycap joints, and robot model kits.
