Really liked the camo and paint job. Pictures kinda distorted, though. :S

The scarf looks great! How'd you do that?

I really wanna see better shots of this guy - his camo looks great.

Sharp-looking. That Cobra Trooper base is perfect for this. I may have to steal this recipe.

Nice use of a non-Joe figure!

I like him, very clean. What's with the full-sized pack strapped to his leg, though? Is that a real thing that I'm not aware of?

Dre wins in my book just for customizing the dog. That's a flashlight and... what? Also, coolest NVGs.

Figures I got beaten by Slaymaker AGAIN. :crying: :lmao: Really nice custom, though - I may have to steal the recipe on this, too. And I've gotta start trying straps.

And I told you yours was better than mine from the get-go. Confirmation! ;)

Fucking chipmunks. :hijack: I survived solely by being FABULOUS! :eddieism:

Yes. Yes you did.

Originally, the raccoon wasn't involved with your guy, but after I had to rewrite everything, it just had to be done. Thought you might get a kick out of it.

I was very amused, even without the call back to the vicious swarm attack I suffered previously.

Wow. Incredible customs! Congrats to the winners!!!! Both of your troops had AMAZING details!

Fogger,
The bag strapped to his leg was supposed to be a combat medic/trauma kit in case there were wounded that needed to be stabilized before X-Fil. My PJ buddies used to carry one on their leg.

The gear on the dog is actually a combo of a few older Marauder rifle add ons.

The 'antenna' is this.

And the 'camera' are these two.

It's precariously glued to the back of the dog.

This was a great contest. I had fun making the figure, and even more fun reading about the mission.

Yeah, I could tell the source, just wasn't sure what they were meant to be. I dig it. :)
Got any more pictures?

If yall don't mind, I would love to see any WIP shots you guys took (if any) along with any tips/recipes for your troops. Honestly, if toy companies made figs to the standard that is set here, they wouldn't have any trouble selling that shit. Even the little ****ers over on that other site would have a hard time not getting a chubby after seeing these.

Edit: Yes I know our troops don't say Hasblow or have neon colors or spring loaded weapons but I gotta think even 'stankers have a few members that would be into real world stuff.

Congrats Midget and Slay. All the entries kicked ass! Great way of presenting the winner as well Obi.

This was just fun to watch from start to finish.

Thanks, Medd! Yes, everyone did a fantastic job, and I really appreciate you guys for entering the contest. Everyone can't win, but I hope you all enjoyed it.

Daremo and I talked about having another similar contest soon, so stay tuned! Bigger prizes too!

Congratulations to Midget and Slay! Your customs were top-notch. I thought all of the entries were pretty awesome.

Fogger-- I am going to post the pics I have of my operator and I will reshoot some better pics hopefully this weekend. I took the pics with my iPhone and they weren't the best.

Legoguy, I have the recipe for my trooper on my thread, other than that, I painted the camo, using olive drab as the base coat and camo was applied with pieces of painter's sponge, dabbed on top of the base coat. If you want a list of the colors I used, just let me know. I was trying for a mix between Woodland and Multicam.

How in the world did I miss this thread??

Anyway, AWESOME entries!...congrats to Midget for the win...had it been a public vote, I likely would've voted for his entry...
