She's not technically entirely new. Her lower arms (the gloved portion) showed up on ROC Baroness, and the boots first appeared on Helix (although the feet and kneecaps are new).
Great photos, though. She's an 8 to me, although with my edits to her, it bumped her to a 10. I disliked the lack of the holster, which I felt was lazy, the lack of the gold paint apps on her belt, and the yellow hair was a weird choice. Had they matched it on the card art, it would've been less weird, but it seems like an odd choice.
Her flesh tone is a tad too dark, or the pink of her shirt is too dark, but either way, there's not enough contrast as her skin and shirt are too close in tone to each other. The jeans and legs are pretty amazing, even though I dislike the floating kneepads, although it's not a deal-breaker for me.

I would rate the figure a 10 by it's own merits, but making it a convention exclusive reduces it to an over-priced and hard-to-get display piece, and - for someone like my, who has waited years for this figure to come out - a tremendous cocktease (in more ways then one 
). It would have been nice to have it as something you could find at stores, so you can buy any number for display and/or customizing.
If I had such a figure, I would add a holster at her left breast, paint-out the pink spandex from the holes in her jeans and paint her hair pink with dark roots, but that is just me.

They didn't do the color change because it didn't work well with the Zartan you pictured.

Along with the 25th style Lady Jaye, Zarana is just about the best female in the Joe line. Nice review of her.
i love the figure myself...yeah some details need to be addressed, but overall, very well done compared to other crappy bashes Hasbro is known for...

I've never understood that. How is it that they could implement this feature flawlessly in 1984, but nearly three decades later, that capability eludes them?
