Was looking around on the internet tonight and it seems that Ultimate Soldier XD is back..... Just in Lego Form. They have a web site and here are some photos of their offerings.

price wise, they are close to lego pricing, but the lack of figures per set is what makes it seem more expensive.

However, McFarlane takes the cake for overpriced building sets with his walking dead tripe.

I may order one of these sets and see how good they are.

These xd sets are interesting. I like the idea of having more choices to go with the Joe sets and CoD sets... but the detail is really low on these. They look like something a kid would build out of a big pile of generic bricks, not a detailed vehicle with lots of specialty pieces. It's almost quaint in it's simplicity, but not something I'd pay lego prices for. Not even 50% lego prices like the constantly-on-sale Kre-o and Megabloks sets.

Bottom line, I like the idea, but the execution seems seriously lacking.
