I agree on the 2-part casting. I was actually happy I was forced to paint the skin tone. Took a bit to match, mine is also just slightly off a little but i am OK with it. If i didnt have skin tone mixed up, I would probably still be cleaning paint off, repaint..... Just have to paint the anchor now once the hat dries. Oh, it also was the first time I painted eyes with the head upside down.
I just tried my luck at the SDS Gung Ho head. You were not kidding when you said (somewhere) the eyes were rough. First time in a long time, I had to do a double touch up to keep them even. wow. But damn does that head look good on him!
