first off, i thought i mentioned it, but i guess not...the music in #100 is sweet!...

and i can't believe we're almost caught up...

so, your question...i think my fave idea of yours was the behind the scenes idea...i've always wondered about, and i think a few of my Q&A questions even pertained to that...

an idea i have, though it would be very difficult to accomplish and $$$, would be a live action strip with people dressed as Joe characters with word bubbles and all...like the next evolution, sorta like how you did ARAH to 25th...

I agree with Eddie. I posted over at BS the same thing. Behind the scenes would be killer!

To expand on Eddie's idea, you could have fans send pics of themselves to ya, and you could cut their heads and photoshop them onto a figure. Maybe even if for only the final cell of the comic.

Since you want the readers involved, maybe a pseudo "behind the scenes" based off real (or imagineered) questions... You could grab pics of odd looking people off the interwebs, call them by the names of people we'd recognize and bubble in whatever off the wall question you'd like to see asked to lead into some "behind the scenes" action. Then let the hilarity ensue. JM2CW...

I come from the Net.
I'm leaning towards the "behind the scenes" thing myself, but I'm not so keen on the "photos of real people" idea. The cosplay idea would require a lot of work to pull off, and I'd be too anal for it to work. "That Snake-Eyes is too fat, that Scarlett isn't fappable enough," etc.

How about this to get people involved: readers can pitch a short one-issue story! Submit your ideas for a short one-shot, and I'll use that as the comic I'll make for the behind the scenes special. How does that sound?

I hate to doublepost in one day, but I need your help.

Next week marks the 150th issue of the comic, but I don't have anything special planned yet. I don't have the energy (or time) to make another animation like I did for #100, and a Yearbook issue-- well, I did that already in #50.

So my question to you is, what should I do? Should I do anything at all? The current story is dragging on too long anyway, so I figured I'd just let #150 be the next issue the current story arc and, if anything, we could do something fun on the side.

A community chat via Skype? Joke around, ask questions, stuff like that? A Team Fortress 2 night, or some other gaming session? Or would you rather I just did something like make a behind-the-scenes special about how the comic gets made, showing all the steps from idea, to the stuff you see on your screen each week?

The last anniversary events were basically me horn-tooting, but I'd like this one to be about you, the readers. Without your support, there's no way I'd have made it to #150. I wouldn't have got beyond #5. So let me know what you think and feel. And thanks for sticking by me for three fantastic years!

I think it should feature Snake Eyes and the Ninja Force ;)

On a serious note, I think a special issue for #150 is a good idea. I'll think of some ideas and get back to you

Well, I'd have to go through the submitted ideas and pick one. Submit what you'd like, but don't be surprised if your story about Timber assraping the Baroness doesn't get chosen, eh?

i like the behind the scenes idea and the submit a story idea. Haven't thought about anything new yet, i'll keep thinking.

Also, we haven't done a Q/A session in awhile. I'll work on getting one setup again soon.

Sweet, I love the Q&As!

F*@#!!...*thinks of new story*
No problem! Submit whatever you want, just make sure it stays short. Also, it can guest-star other non-Joe figures if you'd like. I'll have all the rules up soon and I'll put them at the end of #149, too.

Excellent idea for submit a story. Although I am in no way funny when it comes to that but I will try to think of something to submit.
Don't worry, it can just be a vague idea, not the dialogue itself. If I like the idea and select it, but you didn't write any dialogue for the issue (say you just submitted a story outline), I can roll with it, and write up the lines, no problem. I'm versatile like that.

EDIT:
We can still have that Skype chat or gaming session if anyone wants to and/or if there's demand for it.

Story/Contest idea:

Have you ever seen the Jeopardy parody that SNL used to do? Well thats my idea. The host would be The Baroness and the players would be Clutch, Cap and Duke Nukem. I'm sure you could come up with all kinds of wity and dirty things for the 3 of them to say about the questions/answers and of course to the Baroness. The questions would be either all Joe related or Ages 25 and Up related since this doesn't have to be canon.

Another idea which is the same that you can use if it's easier is a wheel of fortune with the same people except the Baroness could be vanna white and then the host could be Destro or CC or whatever.

+1 for the Jeopardy idea! I loved "Sean Connery" in the SNL parodies, maybe you could use Dr. Henry Jones in a similar way?

Boy, I don't know how many ideas you got submitted, But even if jeopardy doesn't make the cut, hopefully someday you might consider it. i would love to read the play on words you could do with connery.

Alright fellas, time for #150 and to find out who's our lucky winner! All that and the behind-the-scenes special. You know I spoil you sometimes?

Fuck Yeah! I won!

Awesome comic Numbers. I like how you displayed the behind the scenes stuff. When you first brought the idea up, I was having trouble picturing how it would work but it turned out nice. The Jeopardy part of the strip was very funny. Seeing Cap and Clutch checking out Baroness made me smile and 007's censored picture had me cracking up. The best line thou was "Filthy Commie".

Great job Numbers, you always find a way to out do yourself.

I'm glad you approve of it, man! Congrats!

Funny stuff! Congrats to Monkeywrench. :D

Glad you used my Henry Jones/Sean Connery suggestion. :)
There was no way I COULDN'T use that suggestion!

Can't wait to see this weeks comic! You have a tough one to follow up
Tell me about it, eh? I've had some tough acts to follow, so this week's comic might seem rather dull by comparison. But hey, at least it won't seem as lame as #101, which had to follow that animated short, right?

Wait, shit, there are other Clutch fans? Awwww yeah!

Ready for the new strip, guys?
