If you create a figure with a custom paint job, do you seal it when you're done?

Lately I have...if I'm trying to fit it into my collection of Hasbro figs, I'll semi-gloss it so the sheens match...if its something else entirely, I'll dull coat it and gloss the things with a brush that need it...it just looks better IMO...testors products are what I use...as of yet, they don't react with plastics...

I like how it uniforms the sheen...and since most fabrics are of a flat finish, dull coat works best for me...the less sheen the better IMO...

Yes, with a clear coat.

I used too, but lately I've been wondering why. It's not like it protects the paint all that much.

I use it to "tie it all together".

I've also found that gloss paints go on better than matte, for some reason... So my flesh tones always go on shiny, and then I clear-coat them with a dull coat. It gives them a factory finish and seems to protect the detail work on the eyes/brows/hairlines, too.
