I just can't care about 1:12 stuff.

I'm not 100% sure why, but I didn't care about the Marvel or SW 1:12 stuff, and the Joe stuff looks to be more of the same. I never liked the Sideshow 1:6 Joe stuff either, though I know it was high quality.

I think maybe GI JOE is forever linked with 1:18 for me, and the Joe vehicles were more my favorite over the figures. I can't imagine they'll release many 1:12 vehicles for this line.

I'd say maybe I'd get 1 or 2 to have on my desk, but some of the new 1:18 lines seem like they have just as much detail packed into them.

I MAY get SE - but definitely not getting all of them. I had a 1:12 SW Black collection I liquidated because I keep getting more 1:18 scale stuff (no longer a joe collector as much as a 1:18)

NOTE - That version should have Timber in my opinion. :D

The rumor is that Jazwares will be doing the 4" stuff.

Count me all-in. I've wanted 6" joes since Hasbro started making non-shitty Marvel Legends about 7 years ago. It's really my preferred scale now. While I do love the classic vehicles, I was more into the characters. Joe was never about giant battles for me, as it seemed silly for a terrorist group to have more/better equipment than half of the "evil" countries of the world. I like it better when everything was small. Small rosters, small groups of terrorists, covert missions.

I didn't mind when they went nuts in the comics, invading springfield or cobra island, but even then, the number of joe troops involved was in the dozens, not hundreds or thousands. And in my head, they only had one or two of each vehicle, not an entire squadron of Conquests or battalion of Wolverines. Specialty group, specialty equipment, specialty missions. In my head, they really were a small group of specialists, not just garishly dressed army folks.

The only decision I have at the moment is what kind of limits I'm going to put on myself.
- Do I get doubles of everything? Probably not, because unlike with the 25th line, I can't pretend my kids will care. They clearly do not. And thank goodness, these don't have any kind of nostalgia packaging.
- Do I troop-build? Probably only a little. I like having 4-6 man teams, so I'll pick up more than one blue-shirt, the same way I have a half dozen 6" storm troopers. It's good to have a few for photography scenes. But I'm not going to buy 30 of them. Big picture, I want my toy collection to streamline, not grow massively.

It really is nice to have a toyline I'm this excited about though. And Joe is overdue for something good.

More pics there. I really like the panel with the Raijin & Fujin relief (and the Alley Vipers on the package, Troopers BTFO, lol), but otherwise it's exactly what I imagine a Hasbro-made 1:12 Snake Eyes would be.

I’m coming around on it. There’s better detail and articulation and it’s pretty much I given that there won’t be many vehicles for 4” figures in the future unless it’s repaints.

I’ve already adjusted by printing stuff in 1:12 anyways.

The original leaked listings showed 2 Snake Eyes. I wonder if it’s a double up or if they have a commando version that they can use as a basic mold for a lot of other figures. Bobby Vala did leaked a commando masked head before

Boo hiss! If you guys won’t let me change he name of the site to the fighting 1:16th due to 4” figures why should we celebrate this unholy blasphemy of a scale.

Happy for anyone who wants this but looks like Joe is over for me.

Haha.. Fighting 1:12! Fighting Scale! Fighting 1:1!

I think if I saw one in the wild I might get it if it looked really cool, to sit on my desk maybe. I have a bunch of nerd shit on my desk already. No desire to "collect" these though.

Definitely modernized, but definitely recognizable to even casual ARAH fans. I think most fans will be happy, and it gives them the opportunity to gig us all for the eventual more-faithful ARAH repaints/retools. This is exactly what I expect from hasbro, good and bad, give you what you want, but not exactly what you want. Overall, I think it's a solid offering so far.

But seriously, who decided roadblock needed gold boots? Those will get some tamiya flat black the minute I open the package.

I do love that they use Phil Noto artwork on Scarlett's packaging though.

Fair enough. I was planning on making full custom 6" Joes, so I view this as saving me a ton of work, even if I have to make a few tweaks myself.

The good news for you is that there is zero chance there won't be re-releases in ARAH decos. It just might take a couple of years. And the MSRP on these is supposed to be $19.99 IIRC.

I ordered the SE this morning only because I love SE and I got an unexpected $50 visa gift card for my birthday.

Not interested in the 2 posted above at all.

Need to find a 1:12 wolf now....

At $20, I'm in for that Scarlett and a "regular version" of Snake Eyes (not a $40 one) for sure. Really hoping for a decent Beachhead, Flint, Gen. Hawk, Leatherneck, Firefly, Storm Shadow, Viper, and BAT. All the others I would have to see to decide. That Roadblock is most definitely a pass.

Is there a series in the works for these? They seem to be designed with a very "gold" theme...

Wow, I didn't realize they made 1:12 weapons. I had to do a lot of chasing/overpaying to get Black Widow her pistols a while back. That said, they need to make MOAR!!!! :p

Maybe the Joe line will be a catalyst. I could definitely see Roadblock getting a SAW and Scarlet a sidearm.

Eh, they do like half-a-dozen models. Little Armory kits and raiding the clothed 1:12 figures will net you more options.

Here's (a shitty pic of) Duke.

EDIT: Beat like a government mule, on all accounts.

Anybody know anything about the fig on the right?
Before they showed Duke, and when were being told this SE was part of a con set, I thought it looked like Duke from the box art. I thought this was going to be some sort of Night Ops Duke paired with SE for the con set. Looking at the articulation, it doesn't seem to match the other 3 male figures.

It doesn't look like anyone in the SE movie either.

It's funny. That's probably the figure I'm actually most interested in and it's probably just some rando in that dude's collection.

It's definitely a custom, and a LBC at that. Nothing more than a Madrox head on a 'Nam punisher body.

And the punisher body is just a repaint of the Netflix punisher body. I bought a bunch of those for my custom 6" Joes. It's a good mold, and I hope it's compatible with the new joes, as I could see myself swapping out Duke's lower half for something less renegade-y.

I think Marauder has made a ton of soccer players as well. It must somehow be easier to mold or something.
