I want mad detail and articulation. No, I don't give a shit what the packaging looks like.

The Pose Skeleton has the best packaging ever. 2-piece plastic tray in a damn plastic bag.

That pretty much sums it up. While I've been an avid MOC collector of vintage joes in the past, that simply doesn't apply to new stuff. I suspect that the number of collectors who by modern toys to collect and display MOC are exceedingly rare.... especially in contrast to the number of people who will pass on shitty sculpts and poor articulation no matter what fancy box they employ.

There really should have been a "Really? Who gives a shit?" or an "I don't care because I'm not an anal retentive collector" option.

Yup, true to their history Mattel is more concerned with presentation than product. It is simply impossible to justify swivel thighs instead of swivel hindarms. At this point, Mattel are just being sick head trolls to 18th fans. After buying the Mr Freeze that couldn't hold his freeze gun with two hands but had hip and thigh artic that enabled him to only assume the pose of squeezing out a wet fart due to sculpting crap in front of his pelvis; I very seriously doubt this idiot company ever gets another dime out of me.

Hasbro are very quickly getting to that point, too.

Swivel arms are a pretty simple fix, though I agree Mattel really doesn't "get it".

Mattel has never gotten it, in any scale. I have about 2,000 18th figs from a variety of lines, and not one single solitary one of them is packages pristine from Mattel. They are willfully obtuse about their customers, and subsidize their boy's action figures with profits from other lines.
