I only use Liquitex Basic Acrylic paint. Nothing else even comes close. They are affordable and can be picked up at any major craft store such as Michael's or Hobby Lobby.Excellent job on that weathering.
And I agree about the paints. Decided years ago to only use acrylic. Testors Model Master has been my go-to for a while. I have always run into issues with lacquers and enamels being sticky. I've even had enamel show fingerprints from touching it a whole week after painting it on. So frustrating.
I still think I captured the essence of Star wars despite it looking somewhat anime. The droid tank. It’s a great sci-fi look with the dirt and pane lining and then the candy clear coating, more of an anime look than real world. The only paint I’ve used that gives that effect is Tamiya Clear rattle cans.
