I am looking for some pre-made diorama backgrounds that i can buy outright, I thought there were some on shapeways, but i can no longer seem to find them. What i was thinking of was they were industrial type backgounds almost like inside of a warehouse, one even had like a overhead crane. ANYTHING similar would be very helpful.

Thank You

Not exactly what you're talking about (and scale needs to be fudged), but it made me think of the chain bases available on amazon and elsewhere:
[ame="http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000ZGHNN6/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pd_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=1TCI5J7GHR0B4&coliid=I1F26BXG01UQ3P"]Amazon.com: Modeling Support Goods Mechanical Chain Base 004: Toys & Games@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51gLSAnS4XL.@@AMEPARAM@@51gLSAnS4XL[/ame]

I've seen figures in front of them and they look nice as long as you're avoiding any of the stuff that looks grossly out of scale.

Generally they were designed for 1:144 scale Gundams, but you'll find they work with most smaller scales if you daisy chain enough of them together.

I've used them for background pieces for my customs when taking photos. They do look good, but like Fogg said, leave out the pieces that are out of scale.

I seem to remember there being a site that offered original backgrounds for 1:18th scale figures. I think some of the details were bits of computers? But I haven't seen that site in a long time.
