I have a pair of the Challengers, the metallic green (that I bought specifically for Clutch), and a triple-black. The black one is even prettier, but I like the mag wheels on the green one.
I have collected a ton of 1:18 diecasts... I started out wanting to make a full set of Dukes of Hazzard cars. I currently have several disassembled to strip and repaint the proper colors, but that's a half-finished project that's been waiting for several years.
Then I wanted to make a set of 1:18 '84 Autobot cars. I already have the two Lambos, silver and white datsuns that won't take much customizing, yellow bug, red Porsche 924 turbo, red Trans Am.... and then I have a white Lancia stratos, an '80 Renault F1 car, and a Porsche 935 that will all need significant customization, but they're excellent base vehicles. Brawn and Trailbreaker are the ones that I have no clue... those vehicles just don't exist in 1:18. Huffer and Gears can go suck donkey balls.
Then as I collected, I started picking up other cool cars. Modern cars, muscle cars, batmobiles, my own daily driver camaro, the cobra, etc. I have a large 10' x 7' bookcase in my bedroom, and so I display a lot of them in there, but more than half are still in boxes.
It's hard to go wrong with beautiful cars in the most blessed scale.

Within 12 months, we're like to have a hasbro TRU release and at least a couple of KO seekers. I wouldn't pay $189 for a seeker mold if my life depended on it. I'll continue to use my iGear skywarp until a cheaper version of the MP-11 mold surfaces, legit or otherwise.

Even BBQ is high when we know TRU will have one for $60 by spring. They did it for TC and Starscream after their 2nd runs in Asia. Unless you just gotta have the cape or the black box, it's smart to just wait it out.
More pics of OS/KO Sideswipe with other 1:18 cars... I think he fits in remarkably well for a giant transformer.

I've been wondering how close it was to 1:18th. Wow, that's near spot on. Who knows, it might be the truer one.
I trust those Kyosho lambos to be spot on. Lambor is just a tick shorter in length. If anything, Labmor and the Kyosho illustrate just how off the bburago really is. Of course, the bburago is a cheap POS, but it's always been my intention to carve up the seats/floorboards so that it easily fits Joe figures. I wasn't willing to do that to the good models

I've decided that I haven't seen that particular user b/c my TFW "ignore" list has like 50 names on it. In most 3P threads, I can only see half the posts, as my patience is thin for many of the sanctimonious asshats that will not rest until we all praise the all-holy Badcube Sunsurge in all it's awkward storkiness or condemn anything made by KFC/XTB no matter how good it looks. Sunsurge is fucking ugly. The proportions suck. Legs are too long, feet are too big, and that face, man. I mean, whatever people want man, but that's one ugly bot. If we're talking aesthetics only, Spinout is above and beyond that freakshow.
I thought Skywarp was supposed to come with stickers. The TF direct page shows them. And yeah, I got refunded 20 bucks, 10 for sw and 10 for tc.

Heck, I sold my MP-07 thundercracker on ebay a couple of years ago for $450. WHY?! WHY?! but I was glad to get it... but I do not understand it. The mold is inferior. The color matches nothing ever seen on TC. Is having the black box or a complete set really that compelling?!

That's my reasoning for being all in on Giga's dinobots. (Except Grimlock. I bought the Oversized MP and I don't know how I could be happier with a different one.) They look better, to me, than all the others that are offered. But hell, some people take a difference of opinion as some horrible slight against them, and they freak the fuck out. I really like both. Neither is perfect, but they both are really strong. I'm likely going to do the rare double-dip and get both. The better bot will get on the team shelf and the other will stay in Alt-mode on the KO car shelf (I buy official carbots for the bot/battle shelf, and then when the cheap KO comes out, I usually buy one to keep in car mode).
The only thing that could change that plan would be if one of them was really off in bot height. There is speculation that MMC could be a bit on the short side. I like my TB in the Ironhide size-range. He's a bigger dude. Any company making him shorter could kill my purchase enthusiasm. Love the 80's Toyota/Datsun look of BC's alt and the silver legs, but the chest sticks out to me in a bad way. Ocular's alt looks decent enough, the chest looks better, but I find the white (although accurate) to be distracting and the head is fugly.
Yeah, I think overall the Ocular Max one may look the best in alt mode (I like the chrome running boards/side-rails, even if it's not 100% cartoon accurate) but I'm really kinda torn on bot mode.
I guess if the OM one turns out to not be the height of Ironhide and Ratchet, that it would maybe sway me to the BC version. I'm not particularly hating on Hoist, but he's no priority by far. I could consider waiting for the OM Hoist, since I think the kibble in robot mode for Hoist is a bit distracting. TB is a much cleaner vehicle compared to Hoist as far as the BC versions go.

FWIW, a rep for MMC has said that the white parts are actually being made grey due to fan feedback.
I agree, the BC head is better. The MMC body is better. The BC truck is cleaner, but the front grill of the MMC vehicle is more accurate (and that's irrationally important to me, as this was the vehicle I learned to drive on). Really, both are pretty slick. If either of them was the only option, I'd likely still be perfectly happy.
