Hey man I love this thing I really do. ive flown one before (not in the military) andf am huge fan of Hueys. I have three myself. Just wanted to say I think you need to mount mini-guns above those Tows.
Looks awesome! You really did a great job. I used to build Huey models many years ago. I still have a closet full of unbuilt versions.

No. All I'm familiar with are the Osprey books, but those are absurdly expensive for what you get, especially with the internet these days.
I was thinking of turning Cross Country into a helo pilot, but I think I'll put him on a fireteam and just do some nameless green shirt as the "peter pilot".

That's an awesome job Big K!!! To me it screams MACV/SOG imo. Or Rhodesian or whatever the hell you want!! The thing is a masterpiece!! Flawless!!

There's the gun mocked up. I've done it so I can switch out the TOW pod + mount at will. I'm thinking it needs a bracing rod, which seemed to be used for high torque guns systems on the Hueys. Yo Joe, bitches!

I got to figure out how to feed it. The ammo drum is fine, but the feed chute is short , angled oddly and fairly inflexible.
In reality a beast like that would be fed straight down, through a hole in the fuselage. I'm not up for hacking holes in this thing.
I kind of want to put low-vis G.I. Joe markings on it, now.

Not sure if yer joking, but you know I would think low vis decals would be killer...almost ghost like...
Run a G.I Joe logo right down the tail boom where the United States Army would go. Make them black, then green where they sit over the tiger stripes. Though with the antennas in place it would be a bitch to do.

ive got a unbuilt 1:144th C-17 want to make a trade (if you have a D model in 1:48 med-vac version)
So while I'm waiting for sagami mounts I figured I'd also get ready for the incoming TOW sight I have coming.

What about some thin clear plastic card? I got some in a resin WH40K kit not too long ago for the windshield. It's flexible and you should be able to glue it in place. It's thinner than credit card plastic, but thicker and more substantial than clear cellophane
go to wally world and look at the laundry supplies, they have caps on the crystals bottle that could work after trimming them down.
Just look for clear ones. I have a bunch of different ones, even have several blue ones that will work great as Destroyer droid bubbles.
