With ISM (Islamic Statist Militants) advances in the Middle East since the EMP the Coalition forces have been fragmented. Some fought valiantly, some never knew what hit them and there are those that had recently been stocked that have been able to hold some ground, but with a light foot print to start with it won't be long before the confusion and chaos will set in. Then there were those advanced level fighters. Small bands from different branches and nations banding together.
They just thought of themselves as survivors. Using their local contacts they soon gained strength but also realized no one was coming anytime soon, it was Live Free or Die.
Those caught in their path that lived to tell about it described them as the Crusaders even saying they wear the patch of the Crusaders past. The ISM now will have to come to grips with Crusaders who have broke behind the front lines.
Two ISM Commanders discuss their time in the past months out at the front. Further back in friendly territory they let the fire at their out post position burn a little longer into the cold night than they would normally do if they were out at the front.
Absorbed in the glee of their successes they lose track of time.
